The quality control inspector has given the ok for these international orders to be dispatched! 📮👍🐾
Busy busy over here! If you are patiently waiting for your deck, I’m working to get everything out as soon as possible but are literally hundreds and hundreds of them and one of me! 😅
SAMHAIN 🎃✨
Hope you all have a very happy Halloween whether you’re trick or treating, or just keeping cozy tonight!
I had a few requests to re-open the pre-order store at the weekend so I did! However I’m getting really close to shipping now so it’ll close again at midnight tonight so I can get everything in order for dispatch day!
Samhain is one of the major cards from The Wild Way Oracle Deck, pre-order today! All being well, we’ll be shipping next month.
And here’s the box! ✨
I had been fretting about the design for months with no clear idea of what I wanted it to look like and then in the space of two days it just materialised… and I’m really pleased with how it’s turned out! I hope you like it too.
I’m also very happy to report that the artwork is now at the printer and it won’t be long until I’m sending everything out!
Oh and just so you know, I will be closing the pre-order store very soon, so if you’d like to be one of the first to get your paws on a copy, be quick 🙏✨
MABON 🍂✨
The second harvest festival on the wheel of the year, is celebrated today. It’s also the autumn equinox!
At this time, length of the day equals the night, and we meet the perfect equilibrium of light and darkness. In the northern hemisphere, the nights now will gradually gain length until we reach the longest night and the Winter Solstice, which marks the death and rebirth of the Sun. We are now entering the waning phase of the solar cycle and the time to turn inwards...
Mabon is a time to reap what we have sown, practice gratitude and release what no longer serves our journey. And it’s also a time to eat lots of apple and blackberry crumble! 🍎🥧✨
This is one of the major cards from The Wild Way Oracle Deck, now available to pre-order!
Autumn slowly creeping in… 🍂✨
Behold! My first penny bun find of the season… I’ve been checking my usual patch for a few weeks given they seem to have been popping up extra early in many places. I decided to leave this guy to spore as he’d already been kinda ravaged by slugs… but hopefully there will be a few of his pals popping up soon! 🤞✨
I also found a new brown birch bolete patch this morning! This little family were growing atop a stone wall covered in a super thick blanket of spongey moss underneath birch trees.
The blaeberries are fantastic this year! 🫐✨
The extra warm June followed by an extremely soggy July have produced a bumper crop in these parts…
You can find them growing in pine forest and often alongside heather, as they both like acidic soil. They taste similar to blueberries but are a little less sweet and definitely juicer… you can’t get away with picking them as you always end up with blaeberry stained hands!
Always make sure you leave enough for the wildlife though, they are an important food source for many creatures…
These ones however are going on my breakfast! ✨
LUGHNASADH ✨
Or Lammas or Lùnastal (Scottish Gaelic) whichever you prefer… is the first harvest festival of the year! 🌻🐭✨
Celebrated on 1 August, it’s a time to pause and enjoy the abundance that the summer season has provided. I’ll be harvesting a few things from the vegetable patch to mark the occasion. And I found a new mushroom spot when I was out exploring at dawn this morning!
Traditionally, on this date the first grain was gathered, ground and baked into bread. This loaf would be shared amongst the community for luck and protection. One of the wee harvest mice here is making a corn dolly, another traditional practice associated with this special day! 🌾
It’s been pretty soggy here (as you can probably see from raindrops on the card!) and there’s more to come, so the main harvest will have to wait…
Tonight there is a full moon and it’s the first we enjoy in Aquarius without the presence of Saturn there too, definitely something to celebrate alongside Lughnasadh! 🙌✨

Artwork for Ta**us III - The Wild Way Oracle Deck! ✨
The Third Decan of Ta**us (20°-30°) can be a difficult and challenging place. The tarot card which corresponds with this part of the sky is the Seven of Pentacles, also known as “Lord of Failure”… cheery huh?!
But despite the difficulty that this double Saturn ruled decan can present, it can help us to understand that failure is a necessary part of any process. How many times have you failed spectacularly at something before picking yourself up, trying again and ending up with a much better outcome? And, learning a tonne in the process…
Saturn is the ruler of time and patience, and is the very embodiment of the phrase “fail to plan, plan to fail!” Whenever this decan is activated, it’s a useful reminder to think ahead, renew your insurance and take care of things that you can control. Then whenever you find yourself facing a situation that you can’t do anything about, you’ll know that you tried your best to mitigate the risk.

My wee Wild One! 🐾✨
One sleepy Sunday afternoon back in November 2019 when I was living in Mexico, a sad skinny scruffy little doggo was waiting outside the gate to my house as I arrived home… and she was absolutely determined that she was coming inside with me!
I really wasn’t planning to keep her but when no-one responded to my lost doggo posts online, I couldn’t bear the thought of her being stuck in a shelter, plus, she’d already kinda made herself at home…
Fast forward a few years and she’s returned to her roots in Scotland! We recently tested her DNA and she’s 40% Border Collie, a breed that hails from the Scottish Borders. We were particularly surprised to learn that the next largest percentage at 22% was… Chihuahua! So she’ll always be Mexican at heart too 🇲🇽
MIDSUMMER! 🌞✨
Today at 3.58pm (BST) the Summer Solstice takes place marking the beginning of astronomical summer in the Northern Hemisphere.
In Latin “solstitium” means “sun-stopping” as the sun reaches its highest point in the sky and appears to stand still, giving us the longest day of the year; an important turning point and good opportunity to pause and take stock of the year to date.
Midsummer or “Litha” is an ancient festival which traditionally celebrates the abundance of light, fertility, vitality, healing and love as the Wheel of the Year turns to reach the longest day. Flower crowns, communal feasting, sacred bonfires, circle dancing and extreme revelry are all traditional ways to mark the celebration, as is staying up all night to witness the sunrise!
It’s said that “this night, of all nights, fairies are most active. As the solstice sun rises on its day of greatest power, it draws up with it the power of herbs, standing stones, and crystals. In the shimmering heat-haze on the horizon, its magical energies are almost visible.” (Midsummer: Magical Celebrations of the Summer Solstice - Anna Franklin).
It’s a celebration that belongs to the Sun, the Light of the Day, and in astrology the celestial body which represents the conscious mind and the ego. It is a symbol of our life force and our will to exist. If staying up all night isn’t your cup of tea, then it’s a good time to simply celebrate your achievements, quietly acknowledge your own talents and your unique contribution to the world! 🙏✨

The last few daffodils are still blooming up here, but we’re way behind the rest of the country! ❄️
What’s coming into flower where you are? 🌷

Since our skies are starting to fill up once again, I thought I’d share my *very scientific* identification guide! 🤓✨
Otters! I know a lot of you were curious about whether they would make an appearance in the deck, so here they are! 🦦✨
This is the artwork for the Cancer II card which is all about creating and protecting a special space in order to let something grow… it could be your art practice, relationship or even your obscure hobby! When this decan is activated it’s a reminder to demarcate a space where we can just “be” with that thing.
I have a couple of possibilities for naming this card but I wanted to check in with what you liked! Help me by commenting below…
Here are my ideas:
⭐️ Protect & Cultivate
⭐️ Safe Haven
⭐️ Seek Your Sanctuary
⭐️ Sanctuary
There are just a few more days of the Kickstarter campaign left, pledge now to get your paws on a copy of the deck! 🖇️ where you’d expect! 👆
Busy busy over here finalising card designs and extra goodies, like this little tweed bag! ✨

Woke up in Narnia! ❄️✨
After 2.5 arduous years, Saturn is finally finishing up his stay in Aquarius. On March 7th, 2023, Saturn will enter the sign of Pisces.
Saturn is currently in the Third Decan, at 28° and in the face that Austin Coppock calls "The Knot". Austin states that the third face of Aquarius “illuminates karmic entanglements and oversees liberation from them.”
This third decan is ruled by the Moon. Interestingly, we saw the Moon come to join Saturn almost immediately prior to it's ingress into Pisces, before meeting with the Sun for Monday's new moon at 1° Pisces.
Did you notice the Moon's final meeting with Saturn bringing a culmination to the matters that you've been asked to examine over the last few years?
Perhaps a karmic knot you've been grappling with has finally loosened enough for you to unravel it and move on...
Venus rules this decan by triplicity too, so you could also think about how this unravelling might allow for more beauty, love, pleasure or art in your life? 💕
As Saturn slowly grinds over the final degrees, it's a great time to reflect and integrate the lessons he has brought to the house Aquarius rules in your chart. I know I certainly have a lot to wade through! 😅
This image is the Third Decan of Aquarius from my new project - The Wild Way Oracle Deck, coming to Kickstarter soon! ✨
Deep sleeps the Winter,
Cold, wet and grey;
Surely all the world is dead;
Spring is far away.
Wait! the world shall waken;
It is not dead, for lo,
The Fair Maids of February
Stand in the snow!

Happy Hogmanay friends! 🥃✨
A very happy Winter Solstice to you all! ❄️✨
The lack of light right now makes illustrating a tad tricky this far north but I’ve been working on lots of other non-light-dependent bits and pieces attached to the project. You’ll have to wait for a Yule illustration, but hopefully it’ll be worth it!
Thanks to everyone here for following along, I really appreciate your company and lovely comments. I’m pretty excited about the growing light now as before we reach the Summer Solstice, I will have launched my project, eek! Still sooooo much to do, but I’ve got the astrology on my side once Mars turns direct on 12th January (can-not-wait-omg) and hopefully I’ll be able to keep to my target launch date. I’ll keep you posted!
Enjoy the holidays everyone, however you are celebrating! And best wishes ahead of the new year!🌲🤍
Safe travels to all those heading off to friends and family this coming week! 🌲
It’s been so snowy and icy here but we should see a thaw over the next few days… and then it’s supposedly back to the chill in time for Christmas… ❄️
Merry Gorsemas! 🌲💛
Friends! Just wanted to update you on the last posting dates as we head into the season of celebration 🎄✨
📮‼️ International Friends: If you’re based outside the UK, please order as soon as possible!
📮🍄 UK Friends: You still have a few weeks but I’d encourage you to order sooner rather than later…
Thank you to everyone who has supported my little shops this year, it means so much to me 🙏☺️✨
Today’s potent total lunar eclipse falls in the second decan of Ta**us, so I thought I’d share the artwork I created for this portion of the sky! 🌝
The Moon, who is the ruler of this decan, will be exactly conjunct Uranus while opposite, in the sign of Scorpio, we have Mercury directly in the heart of the Sun (known as a cazimi). Uranus is the planet of unexpected events and can bring shocks and revelation when activated. Add this into an eclipse event, and we really ought to expect the unexpected! Eclipses tend to bring major new beginnings and/or endings and are associated with periods of instability or disruption. It’s pretty wild out there right now don’t you think?! 👀
The second decan of Ta**us is also associated with the Six of Pentacles card. T. Susan Chang in her book 36 Secrets on tarot and the decans wrote that the Six of Pentacles reveals “a moment in weaving when the warp threads have separated just enough for the shuttle to fly through.” and advised that drawing the Six of Pentacles can indicate finding “harmony between your inner and outer selves,” accepting and creating “material opportunities, for yourself and others,” as well as finding “the sweet, cross-quarter magic of the present moment.” I think this is a particularly apt message to carry with us today, and beyond…
If you are familiar with the houses that Ta**us and Scorpio occupy in your chart, you’ll be able to work out which areas of your life might be affected and where you may see sudden change around this date, and where things may feel a little wobbly or disrupted for a while.

SAMHAIN 👀🍂🕯
Celebrated on the night of 31 October, Samhain is believed to be a time when material and spirit worlds meet. All sorts of spirits (including malevolent ones!) are said to enter through a portal from the Otherworld to walk amongst the living on this night… 👻✨
Traditions dating back thousands of years to the ancient Celts include lighting bonfires and carving turnip (rather than pumpkin) lanterns. Both being used to scare away those nasty ghoulies by bringing light into the darkness…
Dressing up is also a traditional Samhain activity! In wearing a mask or costume, it was said that the malevolent spirits would think you were one of them and leave you alone…
Trick or treating too has Samhain origins… “treats” or offerings were originally left out to placate unwelcome spirits. As the old pagan Celtic traditions were gradually blended into Christian practice, poor people would dress up to visit wealthy homes and receive food in exchange for a promise to pray for the souls of the householder’s dead relatives, known as “souling” in advance of All Souls Day on November 2.
In later centuries, people began to dress up and perform antics… sing a song, tell a joke or recite a poem, in exchange for food and drink. This became the tradition of “guising” in Scotland and Ireland, and was exported all over the world. A trick would be performed, and a treat (fruit, nuts or coins) would be exchanged! 🍎
Hopefully as you celebrate Halloween tonight, you think about the origins of the holiday and the thousands of years of tradition behind you! 🎃
Today the Sun enters the sign of Scorpio! 🦂✨
“Scorpio brings tidings of hibernation; its frosts seal the doom of red and golden leaves.” ✍️ Dane Rudhyar
Scorpio is often misunderstood and negatively attributed to death and darkness without a full understanding of how regeneration is a key and absolutely necessary part of the full cycle of life…
This Scorpio season brings more than a few challenges in a tumultuous sky which includes, amongst other things, a South Node eclipse this coming Tuesday.
As we ride some difficult waves of energy over the next few weeks, it’s probably best to keep the theme of regeneration in mind and imagine the beautiful new beginnings that will sprout from the decaying ick we might find ourselves in first 🌱✨
Hedgerow damsons! We’re super lucky to have some really old trees near us which are full of fruit at this time of year.
Also… I’ve never known a dog who likes fruit as much as Archie does…

Now that Venus has returned home to Libra, we can properly celebrate Libra season!! ♎️✨
With Mercury still retrograde until Sunday, and the extremely tense Saturn-Uranus square aspect still building, things may not feel particularly… erm… Venusian at the moment… As October opens though, we get a nice little pile up of planets in Libra for the first couple of weeks offering some sweetness, softness and relief from the ick.
In my monthly newsletter there’s always a wee guide to the sky so if you’d like to learn more about October’s planetary movements, sign up before the 1st! 🪐

New enamel mugs are coming soon! 🔥
Just doing some beta testing before I get them listed… it’s definitely a hot chocolate kinda day up here today, brrrr!
