It’s something about black paint you learn to have a love hate relationship with it.

I usually do my wash process a little like this: Rinse, prep soap, rinse, prep soap wash, rinse, finish soap wash and finally rinse and dry. On a black car I do an extra finish soap and rinse.

Pouring water was one thing tossing dirty water is a different thing. Yesterday I tested out how well my dad’s ceramic wax coat handled and well against water it did a pretty solid job so why not toss dirty water on it and see how it handled? Well the end result I was actually surprised with. Again he did no prep work he literally washed his truck then added the wax to it, so for the truck having nothing special done to it this still holds up pretty good against muddy water.

My dad called me the other day asking if he could use my products to wash his truck instead of taking it in for a wash. I obviously told him yes go ahead use what you want. I got home and he told me I used this (one of my ceramic wax’s). As a detailer I was obviously curious as to the result of the wax so I had to try it out let me tell you why: he didn’t prep the vehicle with any of my ceramic prep line up, he didn’t even clay the car to remove any contamination on the paint, so I had my doubts on how it came out. Overall I say it worked pretty well for no prep what so ever and for his time doing this himself. Good hydrophobic properties good water beads and as you can see with a leaf blower I was able to pretty much dry out the truck. I’m highly considering making this my go to wax for most if not all my washes. I hope you got an idea of how this turned out now imagine the longevity of it and the result when it’s properly prepped and applied.
