Just back from veterinary clinic for Arianrod
She’s doing great a lot of the fluid is gone, Dr Benson said to give her some more time

She’s 17 pounds and lost a pound!
I thought she was only 13lbs !🤣

Tomorrow Arianrod has appointment with the Veterinary for a follow up appointment!

The antibiotic pill shooter, pill pockets , exchanging pill for liquid weren’t working
The pill she managed to spit out.
Pill pocket she ate around the pill even lick it to make sure she got all of that treat..
the liquid she spit out. I was at my wits end with her today!
She’s has to have this medicine with food.. I even text my granddaughter who’s the best veterinarian tech “Kaitlyn Santisi”

Her advice was… though they don’t recommend giving it with their food
Her advice was

Usually they don’t want to mix it in food in case they dont eat it or eat all of it, or start associating with the medication with food and not eat well.
she also recommended ltuna juice or those lickable treats?
If had an extra dose (just in case she won’t eat it in her food) I could try mixing the meds in a little bit of one of those and see if she will take it
Problem is neither of them will eat sea food they won’t touch it!! Plus with the amount she spit out, I really didn’t feel I could waste anymore!

I trick her this morning with the liquid by mixing it in Odin’s food that he didn’t finish and as usual she always licks his bowl.
Tonight afraid she wouldn’t fall for that trick again! I was concerned instead of feeding her brand of cat food I swapped it with the brand Odin eats.. (it’s the only wet food he’ll eat and to be sure she lick her bowl.., I swapped odin’s bowl with her own!! Yup she licked that bowl clean!!!

She needs to have the antibiotic it’s part of the treatment.. since she has to have the medicine with food and I’m trying to shove it down her throat…. I felt I had no other option left…
Praying this will continue to work!! 🙏🙏

Day 6
The last day for shots, only 5 more days of antibiotics ! Liquid is definitely easier, the trick is putting her in her cloth carrier so it’s upright , and down goes the medication 🙀
Arianrod next appointment will be for a follow up and praying this works! 

My boy is happy we are back home and he can rest🤣

Day Five
Didn’t even have to bring Arianrod inside the Vets, the vet tech came out and administered her shot. Explain the situation with the pill to the Vet technician she told Dr Sean and they switched her to liquid! A whole lot easier getting that syringe in her mouth she ran for the hills, but she got her meds, even came back to eat her breakfast ! Six more days twice a day praying the liquid makes our lives a lot easier ! 

If I wanted Odin to get in the crate, he goes into hiding.. just another day living with a Hybrid 🤣

Update ,
the pill pocket was a complete failure, she ate the pill pocket and left the pill🤦🏼‍♀️ if that wasn’t bad enough she’s on to the shooter, What I need is to grow another arm.. one to hold her head , another to open her mouth, seriously she’s locks her jaw! The extra hand to shoot the pill in 🙀
2 more days for the shot @ Vets and 7 more days of the antibiotic , twice a day! 😼

Day 4
This morning trip to the vet was a breeze, sprayed the car and carrier with homemade calming spray . Arianrod didn’t throw up on our way to the vet! She even used the litter box in the back on our way home!
I purchased the pill shooter this morning and use it .. I didn’t even get bit… definitely recommend! The pill pockets also will arrive today!

Day 3
To save my fingers this morning, Dr Benson gave Arianrod her antibiotic this morning . Tonight I should have greenies pill pockets! 💜 let’s hope she’ll eat them!
Otherwise, I’ll purchase the pill shooter from the vets… trying to save my fingers

Day two of our trip to the vets for second shot
She’s on antibiotics twice a day, and she bit my finger.
Sandi will pick up pill pockets tomorrow when she goes shopping hopefully by the end of this I’ll still have my fingers left !
Right now she’s resting and hiding for me. Can’t imagine why. 

💜 Day one of her first hormone shot 

Arianrod will be starting her hormone shots. It’s a series of six shots, starting this Monday, she will remain at the Vet for till noon time,, carrabassett veterinary service is closing early due to the eclipse.

Tuesday through Saturday, I have to take her to the vet for a shot! Praying this helps her, and she doesn’t end up having to have surgery🙏

This Monday is also the eclipse , praying that me get back home safely and not be stuck in traffic 🙏

Might be time for some kitty tranquilizers she’s isn’t coming into heat again and he’s frustrated….
