Recently, Say What! Poetry celebrated our 20 year existence in the Greater Des Moines area. This event has been a vibe since its inception. People graces the mic with their art, reflections, testimonies, and utter appreciation for what this open mic soulful night has meant to him , her or them over the years. Personally, I gained a renewed energy towards creating spaces for others in our great city. Our next Say What! Poetry event will take place on April 21st at Lefty’s Live Music. I hope to see many of you there.
