When you have a good hair day, ate a lot of dessert, and still have visible collar bones… 😅

My car keeps coming up with requests for new parts to keep me safe since she's getting older.

That's how I had to view the check engine light coming on today after Gung Fu class and after recently spending $1800 last month and $1400 in the summer on my car.

At first my reaction was, "Why does this keep happening TO me" and then I shook that off and instead said, "Ok, this is happening FOR me to keep me safe, I'm so thankful my car has built-in safety features so that I and my family are safe in this car and on the road".

Sounds corny and woowoo, but it shifted my entire day so I could put in a couple hours of work without added stress, go buy a new staff for training, spend time with family, and practice something I enjoy. Changing my response and building resilience in the process is how I kept this from ruining the rstbif my day. Take the s**t with the awesome, and you'll be ok.

It takes courage and faith to let go of the familiar feelings of worry and leave that space open for abundance. It may feel like loss, it may feel like you have no control. But a conscious decision to not continue the same pattern and to change your mindset opens the door to all the possibilities you are longing for.

I had so much fun last weekend at 's grand opening open mat and the ' event in Tempe this past weekend! I am also still going to Kung Fu class , so I'm officially a mixed martial artist in training 😉 and I'm still going to yoga religiously so my body can recover and strengthen.

Health = happiness

Perfectionism is a death sentence.

Once something is perfect, it doesn’t need anymore input or energy added to it. It is left alone, put on a pedestal and locked away, never to be touched again.

No energy, no touch, no life.

That’s why you should never start when it’s perfect. Because if you start at the end, at death, you have no way forward. The path has ended. The journey is over.

Start now. Show up imperfectly.

Show up before you are ready. You are not “done” when you don’t ever start.

Meet Scott.

He went to Maryvale and graduated in 1989.

He joined the military after graduation and fought in Iraq during Desert Storm.

He shared a moment that just occurred on this mountain’s summit. He met a woman who is from and lived in Iraq during the war at the top.

He was protecting her back then and now here they got to meet 30 years later.

I got to the summit and saw her not able to hold the tears back.

He said, “That’s what America is all about. Fighting for people who can’t fight for themselves.”

Amazing.
