As a transplant pulmonologist you have to travel the length and breadth of India. One has to visit different kind of hospitals to retrieve organs. Visited a postgraduate training institute in Calcutta to be thoroughly surprised to see this trolley used to transport patients. Old school. Amazed by the dedication with which the staff were working seamlessly for the welfare of the patients there !

My son hands out his toys to me on my call days !
Maybe to keep me company or maybe as a good luck charm. IDK. But it’s a tradition. On a rare instance when he forgets, I ask for it and he pulls a toy out from his toy chest and gives it to me. Honestly, I feel his toys keeps me company in the long lonely nights at the hospital. Shout out to all the health care peeps who leave their families and work day in and day out to care for the sick
