Our lives and the lives of our companions are some of the deepest bonds of love that we must cherish
Mia loves her warm blankies straight out of the dryer. She will wait impatiently for you to go warm it up before she will lay down for the evening.
Happy 14th birthday Mia! ❤️🐾🎂
❤️🐾
Just hold up your tumbler when they can’t pronounce it. 😆—
Hey Mia, I would much rather have a pizza 🍕 versus a squirrel for dinner. 🐿️
Sometimes we have to have discussions with the wildlife about their choices and how poorly it could go for them.
I believe this is one that lives in our trees but it’s path to get home was unwise since Mia was on the other side of this tree.
🐿️ + 🌰 = 😜
Happy Gotcha Day Mia!
11 years ago you jumped straight in our car, gassed us out halfway home and then remembered what it was like to be safe and feel like a puppy again. Our home became yours furever.

Pix from 2012 and now
Aries and her sass. Giving me that over the shoulder teenager glare.
😆
Sorry we have missed posting the last couple of weeks; so many things all at once.
But today, today we celebrate Aries! Today she is 17.3!
We love you sweet pea! Keep on puppy.
❤️🐾
Btw, I lost the stare down when she went all Jurassic Park. 😆
Aries was busy telling the young puppers on the other side that she’s still the boss in this neighborhood. She had that faux hawk standing tall. At 17 years, 2 months and a couple days old, she’s still got it. —
Eleven years ago today we lost sweet Kahla. The pain just never seems to get any easier. They impact our lives so heavily in the short time they are here. Miss you sweet girl.

Happy Father’s Day to all the dog dads out there. Mia still thinks it’s her day as you can tell by her response and smile. 😆 —
Another big day for our girl Aries. 17 years and 1 month today. 🥳
Staying cool!
Aries enjoying some mist from the sprayer on another hot day in Kansas.

As another Memorial Day fades into eve, let us not start thinking immediately of tomorrow but take one more moment to reflect on today. Let us honor those that served for our freedom be a reminder of the blessings we have before us each day.
While today is primarily used to honor armed forces, we would also like to thank those who train our service dogs for many other tasks here at home and on foreign soil. They serve to protect us, often times along side members of different branches or they may help our wounded gain some peace over their brethren that have been lost to battle.
“JUST” Parker was one such dog and he recently reached his end of watch. After many years of service of his own and guidance to the future generations, this patriot pup was laid to rest.
Remember the sacrifices. Honor their lives.
And then there has been this insanity for the last 11 years. 😆
Happy National Rescue Dog Day!

Show us your rescues.
❤️🐾
These two started it all.
I thought I was rescuing them from a pet store but it turns out they rescued my heart and became part of my soul.
Kahla and her sister Maya circa 2004
Let’s see those puppy pix.
So true! Our first two listened well but all the rescues are a different story.
They all seem to have shiny object syndrome. 😆

Happy 17th Birthday Aries! 🥳
It has been a long day of commanding and demanding that her hoomans pamper her but we’ll allow it because we love her.
Sleep well with a full belly Sweat Pea.

Triple Threat of Trouble!
Brewing up a plan for Aries 17th birthday tomorrow I bet.

Pretty sure this applies to all breeds. 😆

Nine years ago my wife took this picture of Mia.
Still captures the essence of a weimaraners true self.
“Hooman, I would like my meal and drink delivered to this sofa.
The sooner the better.
Thank you.”
😆❤️🐾
I said, “Good Morning!”
