All individually decorated cookies will be heat-sealed for a freshness that lasts up to 4 weeks on the counter or up to 4 months in a freezer.

Today was the first day of school for my district and boy did it feel weird not being a part of the festivities! I couldn’t stay away though, so Eleanor and I delivered cookies to some special teachers and students 🩷

And we’re back! We took a break from baking cookies to focus on baking this little munchkin - turns out growing a tiny human takes a lot of energy! Little miss is sleeping better and that means I have energy again for baking! Bring on the cookies! 🍪

I may be several months behind in posting but I am beyond grateful and blessed by all the support and orders I receive from friends, family, coworkers, and all the new customers who have heard about my business from word of mouth! This Advent season, grateful has been the word on my heart. I am truly grateful for all the support I get, even when I take a few months off from posting/advertising and I’m grateful for all the people who make it possible for me to be both a full time teacher and a busy baker, especially my husband 💖

Early last week Adam and I celebrated our second anniversary with a very special anniversary gift – we were pregnant! We spent the week making plans for how we wanted to tell our families, plans for our child’s future, and excitedly started buying baby things.

Then the weekend came. Adam and I went through the most difficult thing we have ever gone through in either of our lives. The pregnancy wasn’t meant to be. The child we had prayed for, longed for, planned for, and willed into existence, wasn’t able to stay here with us.

I knew a miscarriage took a mental toll on a person but I never, ever, could have known how physically painful it is. I spent the weekend in agony waiting for it all to be over but praying that there was some way it wouldn’t end with an empty womb. I was mad at God at first, how could He do this to me? To us? People are constantly having surprise babies with healthy pregnancy journeys, so how could the one we planned for and tried for be taken away from us?

After everything was said and done, I was no longer pregnant, and no longer angry with God. He does not take people away from us. He does not seek to cause pain. When Adam and Eve first sinned, pain, suffering and death came into existence. God did not want that for us. He did not want this pain for Adam and me. But He walked alongside us during it, holding us close to His heart as He held our baby in His arms.

I trust that God will hold my baby close until I can do the same in Heaven one day.

"For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11

And just like that, my first year of teaching is over! It was a wild, hard, long year that taught me so much. I’m grateful for the ups and downs, and for a God who keeps my best interest in mind, even when it’s the opposite of what I thought I wanted.

I’m behind in posting cookies pictures because I’ve had to truly pack every aspect of my classroom as I prepare to move to a new school next year. I am both excited and nervous for the move but I trust that God is doing what’s best for me!
