Every album I make, ends up having that one or two songs that just really summarized the larger story I’ve come up with.

I considered releasing the entire album at once but decided to sit on it a little longer to perfect it. I could have released the most hype ones, but decided to share the slower ones, my personal favorites from this album.

some 🔑 info about the location we have lined up for Galactic Rhythm.

-The location is in the Cremona, Alberta area (only about a 50 minute drive from Calgary)📍

-This is private land (16 acres) on property owned by a good friend of ours 🙌

-The location is gated off so we can party in seclusion

-There is cell phone service (although limited in some areas)

-There is an area within the trees that will be designated for tenting that has a built in fire pit ⛺️

-We will have another area with limited space for RVs/trailers as well 🚌

-Portable washrooms will be provided onsite ✅

I don’t fall in line.

3rd verse in my song Red Line is one of my favorite verses I’ve ever written. The final vocals before the hook are some of the most melodic I’ve ever captured on a song of mine.

Thankful for more than just my art.

The people involved, the folks who listen & dab me in the halls & the situations not even involved but that I try to write about are often more important than the final work, whatever it may be.

Songs like this remind me to re-member the parts of my community.

Thank you to everyone who’s listened to Red Line & who’s been messaging me.

I’m bad at taking compliments, this song has taught me that.

This 4mins is about my hometown and it means the world to me. Before driving, the train was my way of seeing the other side of city, to make new friends, & go on adventures.

I wrote it in 2018, track 9, right after an interlude.

The beat was made from the references of Change & Homecoming from Tha Side, a Cali group sent me stems & I just worked around the words I wrote. it was the first ever production I did on a whole song in FL. It was amazing & kept me motivated to keep creating.

The video was shot on a Sunday, early in the morning, at places around the core that mean something to me.

McMahon Stadium, on my after work walks I would circle around the neighborhood & sometimes make a stop near the stands. I’ve had photo shoots, hangouts, & even music video shoots there.

The C-Train station Banff Trail gets hella busy when games are on. The whole neighborhood shifts moods when the crowd departs the train & heads toward the stadium, for good reason.

I love hearing the roar of the crowd, from my walk’s & from my house, i can hear the touchdown & see the light blare.
Only bad thing, when ppl take my parking spots.

Building more than just a building.

One of my favorite spots in this city is also one of Calgary’s oldest spots. I remember driving through here as a child with my parents seeing the Bison statue, fearing it would come to life and chase me. Seeing music venues which I always wanted to play at.

The full circle moment is now as an adult I drive through Inglewood everyday to & from work.
I see my memories, the city’s history, skyline & life source.

Many of those favorite places in Inglewood are shown in the video which premieres on Friday night!

Another moment I hold as a memory dear to me was my last show I performed an early version of Red Line in 2020 just before the pandemic at the Ironwood at i was requested for.

Thankful for the lessons from every corner.

This month has been crazy. But I want to let you know that we are all going to be alright. I truly believe it.

Rest & Results

📷I: starting on Thursday, July 1st, I chose to reflect upon the journey of families across the globe. What that means & how to preserve those stories.
Khalil Gibran wrote “You are the bows from which your children
As living arrows are sent forth.
The archer sees the mark upon the path of the infinite,
And He bends you with His might
That His arrows may go swift and far.
Let your bending in the archer's hand be for gladness;
For even as He loves the arrow that flies,

I then began to write some verses of my own about my family this week. June was the 26th anniversary of us arriving.

📷II: I found out this week, I can’t sleep in past 7am anymore. It’s a blessing & a curse; so I used the time to run errands & try to catch up on the projects of all sorts I’ve been neglecting to finish. Utilizing time is still a balancing act but the journey is worth it.

Obsession creates something damn near perfection.
But rest is a necessary step.

Plants provide so much. Oxygen, medicine, employment.
More than we realize.

It’s a shame that the beneficial value is being overlooked by a history that was quite frankly misguided & racist.
