If I, Dominique, could go back in time, I’d tell my former self that "Time blocking may seem like a cliché productivity hack, but trust me - it's a game changer!” 🙌
Here are some key points to help you understand how time blocking can help you be more productive:
🕐By setting aside specific blocks of time for certain tasks, you can eliminate distractions and boost your focus. This means you'll be able to complete tasks quicker and with higher quality.
🕑Time blocking also helps ensure you're not neglecting any important tasks. When you schedule time for certain activities, you'll have a better idea of what needs to be accomplished and when.
🕒This practice helps avoid multitasking and switching between different tasks, which can be mentally exhausting and result in less productivity.
🕓You can time block for personal tasks too! Whether it's exercise, reading, or spending time with family, allocating specific blocks of time for these activities helps create a sense of structure and balance in your life.
Here's an example of how time blocking has helped me: I set aside 30 minutes every morning to check and respond to emails. By doing this, I'm not constantly interrupted throughout the day by incoming messages, and I'm able to power through my other tasks without any disruptions. It also allows me to add any tasks as a result of those emails to my TDL.
