Here goes the teaser while giving my first interview to BBC on my concept of being called as “OYE MOTI”
This is the only word that stuck and bothered me since my childhood to be called as OYE MOTI. I was a plus-size child and being body shamed on different places. But i would say this helped me a lot in building my confidence and acceptance that today at this stage i am sharing my story and this journey with all the people around who are in a state of depression or going through a lot of stress due to their physical appearance.
It helped me in finding myself through my work and i am so happy about it already. The reality is that no matter how body positive we consider ourselves, we sometimes can't help but feel like something is wrong with us... Because that's what we've been told from Day 1. Personally, I preach self love constantly.These days, I don't usually take it out on my body at least. I know that it isn't my fat belly's fault that I'm feeling down. I know that those feelings are a product of a culture that seems to think fatness is the worst thing a person can be. But that acknowledgment can still result in misery. Enjoying the body you have and not beating yourself up over changes that happen naturally due to aging, pregnancy, or lifestyle choices. relationship that people have with their bodies, including how they feel about food, exercise, clothing, health, identity, and self-care. By better understanding the effect that such influences have, the hope is that people can develop a healthier and more realistic relationship with their bodies.All bodies are good bodies, no matter their sizes, their shapes, their abilities, their ethnicities, or their genders.
