Whenever someone else was having bad day, she would be the shoulder to lean on, the ear to listen, and the voice of comfort. She loved to sing and swim everywhere she could. She was the type to always look for the good in everything and everyone. Growing up, she was the only child which meant her parents doted on her. She never had to ask for much because most likely her parents already got it. She had many merpeople friends, but it was never enough. She wanted to be friends with everyone. One day, she swam too far and ended upon the shore in a cove. Luckily no one saw her, but she can to see things she couldn’t before underwater. She kept it to herself whenever she went on land. On one of her days playing by the shore, she met a demon named Blythe Evermore. At first, the demon didn’t like her very much. Naomi didn’t let that stop her from trying to talk to her and listen to her problems. Her effort paid off and they became the best of friends. She learned of the darker side of life through Blythe and she shared the lighter side with Blythe. They were so different but helped balance each other out. Each day together made their bond stronger and made both see live a little differently. Those days seem to end when she came on shore on day and found a note saying that Blythe had to go to a school called Wayborough. She had heard many mermaids talk about it and knew she had to convince her parents to let her go. Swimming home as fast as she could, she spoke to her parents about getting her in. At first, they adamant on not letting her go. She was all they had and they didn’t want to see her go. Others had overheard though and told her parents that I needed to be given a chance. They even told stories of sending their own children. It took a while, but finally she would be able to go. She hugged her parents and took what she could and set off on an adventure. Some of the ones that overheard had gotten her in and she was very thankful. Arriving at Wayborough was hard, but she was determined not to lose her best friend. This would be a new experience and a chance to see the things she has only ever heard off. She has never gone beyond the sea, but that made more excited to see what this school had to offer. With a big smile, she set foot on campus on search for her best friend and a view of the world that she had only heard in stories.
