Social Studies assignments will come out at 8:00 AM on the first scheduled day of class for the week. Social Studies is an every other day class, so assignments for the week will come out on either Monday or Tuesday each week along with a video of me explaining the assignments for the week. I ask that assignments be turned in by Friday each week through the Google Classroom.

Any questions, ask away, email them or schedule a zoom meeting.

I just sent out an email to all students and parents/guardians, but figured I would post here as well. Starting on Monday I will be holding office hours from 8-10 each day. This will be a time for students to come in and ask questions about assignments. These office hours will be on Zoom. I emailed the Meeting ID and Password and I'm asking that only students join and MUST use their real names or they will not be able to join.

Moving forward I will be making assignments through Google Classroom. I am going to back to using their normal Classrooms rather than the new one I made. I feel that this will be easier for me and the students to keep track of assignments. I will continue to use Facebook to communicate as well, so please feel free to message me on here or through email.

Any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.

Just to clear up any confusion. When you sign up for Khan Academy and join my class I have to go in and approve you joining. Only then will the articles I've assigned become visible. I check this several times a day, but you can always send me a message through here.

There is a google doc on the Classroom with questions about each article that needs to be completed to get credit for the articles.

Hope this clears things up. As always, please don't hesitate to reach out through facebook or emails if you have any questions.

Hey everyone! Hope everyone is staying safe! So just so everyone knows whats up for this week. Civil War articles that were assigned before school closed are due on Wednesday. The 4 Khan Academy articles and questions (found on Google Classroom) are due Friday.

Please do NOT share article answers or the Civil War articles with me. PLEASE attach and turn them in via the Google Classroom. When they are emailed to me, it becomes hard to sort and ensure that I grade and return everything.

Any questions. Please let me know!

I just made an assignment using Khan Academy. I've linked. it with my Google Classroom so I'm curious to see how this works. Looking at the Google Classroom I'm not seeing it listed, but all students should be seeing it in their Khan Academy dashboard. You may need to look at the notifications in the top right hand corner. I also tested the articles on a phone, and they are very easy to read on there.

I've assigned 4 articles about Reconstruction following the Civil War and will be putting up a Google Doc with questions for each article.

Please let me know if there are any issues

Before we left, students were working on Civil War news articles. I am going to keep that due date just for the sake of simplicity, and honestly, many students were close to being finished anyhow. I will make an assignment on the Out of School Google Classroom page for this assignment to be turned in on.

I will also be making additional assignments through Khan and any other things I find during this time.
