This weekend our 10U Grape City Smashers and the North East Little League are hosting the Jesse Triana Memorial Tournament! We are looking for volunteers to help with concessions, lining fields, selling 50/50 and directing parking! If you are able to spare a couple hours of your weekend click one of the two sign up sheets! We hope to put on a fun and safe tournament and truly appreciate all the help we can get!

The Concession Stand is still in desperate need of volunteers. We have created a Sign Up Genius to make it easier to see what dates are still needing coverage and sign up! Volunteers Needed In The Concessions Stand! We came really close to having to close the stand this year due to a lack of volunteers but are open and hoping to be able to keep it open throughout the season. Good morning NELL Family and Friends!

We are currently looking for youth and adult umpires for the 2024 season. We will also be hosting an umpire training on April 28th at 5:30 at the Little League Complex(rain out location TBD). -Ages 12 and older-youth umpire paired with an adult whenever possible
-Baseball/Softball experience preferred but not required
-Season Runs from the last week in April to middle/end of July
-Pay is $35 behind the plate and $30 for the field, can be used for community service hours

Good afternoon NELL Family and Friends,

Just an update on our 2024 registrations! Thank you to all who have registered these last couple weeks to make sure our numbers are back up to where we normally are and helping us fill out the different divisions.

We need 3 more junior baseball players and 6 more Junior softball players to sign up in order to create a team in each division. If we do not fill those last 3/6 spots, then we will either need to combine the registered players with a neighboring league in the District or issue a refund. We also need one more Pixie(Coach Pitch Softball) player in order to have two teams. We have enough to play in that division, but will be tough with more than 12 players on the roster to manage playing time and what not.

Also, we need coaches in the following divisions. With no coaches, then the teams will not be able to play unfortunately. Those divisions are Minor-Farm Baseball, Junior Baseball, Pixie Softball, Major Softball and Junior Softball. If you would like to coach a team in those divisions or to coach at all within NELL, please email us at [email protected] and we can point you in the right direction to get started.

We are happy to announce the start of our clinics and cattle practices this weekend. We understand this is short notice for this information to be getting out, however we just got approval for gym time through the school district at the end of last week.

The dates and times for each division are below, if you have questions feel free to email us at [email protected] or you can message us here on our page.

Cattle Practices are how we judge a players skill level and to help make teams as competitive as possible. They are required for all players in all coach pitch and player pitch divisions.

***Please note 3 of the dates are in the Elementary Center gym while the one week is in the High School gym. ***

Time slots for clinics will be the same for both days broken down by divisions and the schedule is below. Cattle practices times are TBD, the schedule for the first week of cattle practices will be posted/emailed at least 7 days prior to the date.

NELL Family and Friends! We are down to our last couple days of registration for the 2024 Little League season. Our numbers are down from recent years and only have 4 divisions where we can field at least one team. Please register your child ASAP as we are looking to get rosters finalized in roughly a month's time frame. Please keep in mind, our registration was changed this year to include the fundraiser cost up front with families able to recoup that cost after selling the raffle tickets. February 18th is the last day for regular registration for the 2024 Little League season for coach pitch and player pitch divisions. Starting February 19th a $20 late fee will be in effect for those divisions.

TeeBall- $40 Registration + $50 Fundraiser Fee = $90
PeeWee/Pixie- $55 Registration + $50 Fundraiser Fee = $105
Farm/Minor- $55 Registration + $50 Fundraiser Fee = $105
Major- $55 Registration + $50 Fundraiser Fee = $105
Intermediate/Junior- $55 Registration + $50 Fundraiser Fee = $105

As a reminder the fundraiser fee will be collected at the time of registration this season.

There are multiple opportunities to help deter the costs of the leagues fees. Options include the selling of the fundraising tickets and this year we are also offering financial support to families willing to volunteer their time working 2 nights in our concession stands.

Hello NELL friends and family!! We're ready to host our inaugural Jesse Triana Memorial Tournament this weekend! It is a 9u and 10u travel tournament slated for this weekend with Little League games starting next week. Games start tonight so stop on out and cheer on our 9u Grape City Smashers boys!

With that said, here's what's on tap for this weekend!

Our front concessions will be open for a limited menu all weekend with items such as: pop, water, Powerade, Chips, candy and peanuts. (Cash only)
Located in the center of the complex we will have the food truck - -AGrazing Taste (agrazingtaste.com) available for more food options all weekend long.
-Straw Hat will have ice cream available Saturday from 12-5
-Kona Ice will be available all weekend!

Player meals will be available for pick up Saturday from 12-3:30 at the second window at the concession stand.

The parents and families of the 9u Grape City Smashers have generously donated some amazing Chinese Auction items as well as a large raffle. They will be set up by the front pavilion Friday night, Saturday and Sunday morning with drawings done during the first morning game on Sunday so the baskets can be taken with winners.
We will also have 50/50s going Saturday and Sunday as well!

We can’t wait to see you all this weekend!

Help Needed!! We are still looking for help with parking and field prep at this weekends tournament. We need parking help from roughly 7:00am-10:30am both Saturday and Sunday! If you are able to donate a few hours of your weekend let us know!!

HELP NEEDED!! If anyone is looking to donate their time or needs community service hours we are looking for volunteers to work in the North Little League concession stand this Saturday and Sunday. We are also looking for adult volunteers to help with parking in the morning on both Saturday and Sunday! We are hosting a big tournament as a fundraiser for our Grape City Smashers!! Congratulations to our Senior Softball All Star team on their 2023 District 3 championship! They won a best of 3 series to claim the title and have become the first NELL Softball team to win Districts and the first NELL team to ever make it to States. Congrats girls and best of luck at States!!
