Earth Day is about so much more than just making good choices but I thought it would be a good opportunity to talk about small changes that we can all do to make a difference to protect our planet for our own next generations:

🌿 Do a quick audit of the disposable products you have in your home and swap to some reusable ones instead, like our reusable beauty wipes or face cloths- see what I did there? 🤩

🌿Delete unnecessary emails and unsubscribe from old mailing lists to cut down on digital data storage with requires unnecessary energy.

🌿 Check out online resources to help you make an informed choice to swap your energy provider to a greener one.

🌿 Talk to family and friends about what you have learnt to share your knowledge of becoming more sustainable, share what changes you have made and how it’s benefited you. Knowledge is power 💥

🌿Try planting some bee friendly flowers and herbs; lavender and alliums are particularly beneficial additions to your gardens or window boxes. 🐝

🌿 Most importantly don’t give up just because you can’t do it all. Disclaimer alert: we don’t live in a completely zero waste lifestyle over here 🙋🏼‍♀️ - this takes time, money and space which many of us don’t have in abundance. 💐 M O T H E R ‘ S • D A Y 💐

I know how hard this day can be for many. My own journey to motherhood has not been straightforward and simple. There have been many Mothers Day of pain and hurt and even now, reflecting on how lucky I am (thanks to the miracles and medicine of the NHS for giving me the chance to celebrate another). I know how especially hard it will be for many. I just want to let you know if today is difficult, I am thinking of you and sending love.

Thanks to the power of social media, I know I’m not alone. I used to try and avoid social media around this time, but in case you’re not avoiding the world, I’d like to say happy Mother’s Day to you all...

Happy Mother’s Day to all those who have lost their mums, or are losing their mums, those who have lost children, those who have suffered the pain of miscarriage, or those who are struggling with infertility, those who have decided not to be mothers, those who never knew their mothers and those who don’t have the relationship they would like with their mother… and the list could go on and on…

Today has absolutely nothing to do with biology, whether you’re a mother naturally or through adoption, or perhaps you’re a proud fur mum, or an Aunty, or a Godmama or good friend who is loved like a mum - happy Mother’s Day to you all 💕

✨ Not gunna lie, this prompt for Day 14 of was not one that I was looking forward to! Numbers have never been my strong point, in fact they left me feeling completely inadequate as I struggled with them all my school life. Having dyscalculia, there has never been much in the number department side of my brain. 🤯 When I was able to make peace with that it freed up more space for creativity! 😁

✨ I don’t feel it’s particularly helpful to talk about the number of sales/followers etc because other businesses are all different and we do what works for us. I think it just adds to the comparison culture and imposter syndrome that is so prevalent right now- we certainly don’t need any more of that in our lives!

✨So instead I thought I would share this special number with you- 3 5 4. This is the number of days it has been since I started this account and added some creativity to the grid.

It’s day 8 for and today’s prompt is BEST DECISION.

Currently we’re planning to expand our embroidered artwork range by expanding the products these can be applied to. So here is a little sneak peak, can you guess what the new product is?
