We recently returned from Oktoberfest in Munich after taking our 7-month-old and I put together what we learned into a blog post for you.

We had a super successful first trip with baby girl (minus me getting a stomach bug 🥴). She was so good on the plane and slept so well for us in the hotel. A few tips:
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
1. Baby carrying is the way to go! Gate checking your stroller/car seat is super easy to do, but we found it was easiest to have them packed up before boarding and put her in the carrier to get on the plane. You can also check the car seat at check if you prefer!
2. Infants in lap fly free (domestically, there is a charge internationally!) and your diaper bag doesn’t count as a bag for you. You can bring premade formula bottles, a water bottle for additional bottles, and formula through TSA (your bag will just be additionally screened).
3. You will notice so many other infants, babies and kids flying once you start flying with your child. You are not alone! Also don’t listen to the old ladies who try to tell you what to do when your baby is crying on the airplane, they never learned how to mind their own business 😅.
4. Bring whatever you typically use at home to signal bed time for baby with you (for us, her sleep sack swaddle) which will help them understand and continue their routine. And if you need to bring something for them you don’t want to pack - use !

Any golfer who travels to San Diego has a round at Torrey Pines on the top of their to-do list and it was at the top of ours. The views and the course did not disappoint... even if we had a little rain. Note: if you want to walk the course with your husband they'll make you use a cart for the round which cost $41.
