My kind of roadtrip
This series furthers my exploration of turning desert landscapes from west Texas into psychedelic scenes I’ve imagined. I just hope that these semi-unrealistic series encourage people to get out and explore what’s outside of the city. As wild as I make these images, nothing on a screen will compare to spending time out in the real world

These abstract rock forms are added to my photography from Big Bend National Park and West Texas. I find these barren desert landscapes to be a great exercise in focusing on small details in a photograph. What can you change about a rock? A small shrub or cloud?

Wrapping up this amazing year. I’m looking back at my portfolio, sifting through for the themes to focus on for 2024. Creativity, adventure, exploration, space, science, and the most important- nature.
How can I create more moving narratives about these topics? What scenes and characters can I make to explore these ideas? These are the writing tools I’ll be using outside of the visuals to develop the next series. Characters returning to earth after years in space, psychedelic walks through nature to explore something inside ourselves, its exciting to think of new metaphors for these future projects. Making images that are more than just appealing or creative
