As you can see below, African Americans and Hispanic/Latinos are more likely to die to the Corona Virus whether they be hospitalized or not.
Corona's Effect on Minorities
Racial/ethnic groups are the most common in prisons, jails, and detention centers, and such close-living quarters make it that much easier to come in contact with the virus due to shared food services and multiple bunk/roomates. This becomes especially bad when realized that minorities have a higher chances to be put into holding than other nationalities for minor crimes than whites.
Corona's Effect on Minorities:
Minorities are more likely to either not be able to afford or simply not possess health insurance, which makes it harder for families to acquire treatment and medicine from doctors. This along with language barriers and financial implications makes the effect of the virus highlight some of the long-standing distrust between minorities and the modern day health care system.
Corona's Effect on Minorities:
Many members of racial/ethnic groups have been found to live farther from necessary institutions such as grocery stores and medical institutions, which makes it harder to stock up on items such as toilet paper, food, and anything else that would help poorer families stay at home. Residential segregation also is found to bring upon its own set of illnesses and misdemeanors, which makes them harmfully more vulnerable to viruses such as Covid-19.
Corona's Effect on Minorities:
People who are a part of ethnic or racial minorities are more likely to be living in densely populated areas because of residential housing segregation. Due of this, it is harder to practice healthy prevention techniques such as social distancing, being in stores with limited amounts of people, or being able to receive the help you would need if someone from your family got sick.

Quarantine’s Effect on College:
As students are forced to leave campus due to college closures, they feel like they are in high school again as they have limited freedom, do household chores, and just miss being on their own. Students have to adapt to online classes, and can also experience disrupted study abroad programs, cancelled graduations, athletic competitions, and internships. Quarantine’s Effect on College:
The coronavirus has caused college classes to move online. Schools have pondered on what is the best way to fairly and accurately grades students with these current circumstances. New grading systems can include pass/fail, credit/no credit, or even a descriptive grading system that includes honors, satisfactory, unsatisfactory/passing, and unsatisfactory/failing. There is mixed opinions on the fairness of changing the rules of students mid semester and how it adds stress. (Alexa Estrema)
