2024 - JUNIOR CITIZEN OF THE YEAR SCHOLARSHIP
Now is your chance! The Momence Chamber of Commerce will award two $2,000.00 scholarships to graduating seniors in Momence High School with plans on continuing his or her education at a university, Junior College or Trade School and in the past year has performed a volunteer service which has benefited the Momence Community. CENSUS UPDATE: There are only two more weeks left to complete the . Please help Momence capture all available funds by completing the Census at https://2020census.gov/en.html.
CENSUS UPDATE: Starting July 30, census takers will begin visiting homes to collect responses from households that haven't yet filled out the census form. It is unknown when census takers will make it out to Momence specifically, but households that haven't yet responded can still go on-line or call toll-free at any time through October 31 to give their answers, so that a census taker doesn't have to visit.
All census takers complete a virtual COVID-19 training on social distancing and other health and safety protocols before beginning their work in neighborhoods.

Census Takers in Your Neighborhood You may notice census takers in your community this year as they help conduct the 2020 Census.
As Illinois enters Phase 4 today, please see guidelines below for how that impacts local business. Additionally, the attached link provided by the Illinois DCEO provides additional reopening resources.
Below represent activities one can expect to resume in Phase 4:
• Venues, meeting spaces and select indoor facilities (including bowling alleys, skating rinks and clubhouses) can reopen with 50% room capacity or for groups of up to 50 people.
• Restaurants can resume indoor dining for parties of up to 10 people, as long as tables are 6 feet apart and standing areas are limited at 25% capacity.
• Museums and zoos can reopen with up to 25% occupancy. Interactive exhibits and rides will remain closed, and guided tours should be limited to 50 people or fewer per group.
• Youth and recreational sports venues can operate at 50% facility capacity, and 20% seating capacity for spectators. Practices, tournaments and other competitive gameplay can resume with limited interaction between groups.
• Health and fitness centers can reopen at 50% capacity, and indoor fitness classes of up to 50 people can resume.
