DISRUPTED SCENES 2.0 - It was an amazing night🚀
The successful project, which premiered at DA Z 2022 in the sold-out Zurich Opera House, was also a great success at the Wasserkirche.
The audiovisual deconstruction of enchanting songs from the fin de siècle, which were transferred to the digital age, delighted the audience.

reconFIGURE is a real-time installation that explores how different human bodies are reimagined by computing machines. reconFIGURE thus offers a glimpse into a new conception of our world, the human body, and movement through AI.
Are we losing control over our representation? The project aims to discover and illuminate the transformation of our images and our corporeality once they are captured by computer-generated data.

DAZ Digital Art Festival feat. Francois Knoetze
This collection features 2+10 unique GIFs from Foliscape, a new video work by artist Francois Knoetze that explores the life-cycle of the aluminium recycling process.
Foliscape is featurd at the DAZ 2023 at Schule für Gestaltung Zürich and was comissioned by IGORA Alu Recycling and FERRO-Recycling. Foliscape serves as an inspiration for the annual recycling art competition hosted by IGORA and FERRO.
The collection is Knoetze's first ever NFT project, in collaboration with DAZ. Francois Knoetze is a South African visual artist working in video, performance, sculpture and new media. Well-known for his sculptural costumes and installations made from recycled materials, he has exhibited in major international museums such as the Guggenheim (New York), Centre Pompidou (Paris), and Akademie der Künste (Berlin).

DA Z 2020
A Global Community of Digital Art.
October 28 to November 1, 2020, an ambitious international festival for digital art will be held in Zurich for the first time: DA Z - Digital Art Zurich. DA Z is dedicated exclusively to digital and crypto forms of the avant-garde visual art. Around 60 artists will present their current works. Well-known international artists as well as young artists.
The DA Z festival shall return annually in early May: Exhibitions, installations, interventions, mapping, live coding, video screenings, performances, music events and talks at various locations in Zurich's. Festival center is the internationally renowned Museum für Gestaltung near the central station. Many events will take place in Kreis 5, Zurich's art and nightlife district, around the Zurich University of Arts ZHdK.
At 14 Venues, large ones like Museum für Gestaltung, offspaces like Kunstraum Walcheturm as clubs are also involved like the legendary SUPERMARKET. Mapping-concerts will take place in the Wasserkirche. Talks and lectures will take place at the SIX Convention Center.
