Recently I rewatched “Mutluluk Zamanı” movie for a billionth time and again watched it carefully, in case I see something that I had not noticed before.

One thing that I had started to notice the past 2-3 times that I rewatched the movie, was some of the kisses in this movie. I have noticed that ElBar’s kisses in most of their scenes are actual kisses. Like… real kisses, and not work ones. Real kisses could easily be distinguished from work ones, if you watch carefully and pay enough attention.

An example that I could give for a real kiss on screen is exactly the one on the left side of the collage, which is from the end of “Mutluluk Zamanı” movie. We can clearly see how Elçin’s and Barış’s lips are actually touching each other. Most (if not all) of their kisses in this movie are like this and I think it’s pretty much obvious why.

The example that I have given for a work kiss is from episode 49 of “Kiralık Aşk”. We can clearly see how Elçin’s lips are more focused on Barış’s upper lip and a little bit above it, while Barış’s lips go for Elçin’s lower lip and chin.

This is probably one of the most commonly used methods for doing kissing scenes in movies and series. Of course, if the actors are dating in real life, or at least are totally okay with it, they can do a real kiss, just like ElBar did in “Mutluluk Zamanı” and some moments from “Kiralık Aşk” (mostly season 2).
