The reality, the second to last picture! Tomatoes gone wild! 😜 That’s ok, the plants may be a growing a little crazy, but I’m going to have a ton of tomatoes soon!

Well, what can I say. What a great event by Monte Creek Winery. I definitely left with less than I came with, which really is the only goal I set for markets.

I’ve learned that you win some and you lose some, so I don’t usually set a financial goal. I’m always happy to see people who appreciate what I do.

This time I had a first - an amazing customer actually paid me more for my fix than I was asking. He’s giving it to a new little one who’s arriving and was impressed that I made him with my own two hands. I’m so appreciative of people who understand the time and effort that goes into making these items.

Now, off to my garden at 7 am because it will be too darn hot to go later!

I’ve been binge watching The Cowboy Way. As I said yesterday, I did something to my back, so I’ve been trying to take it easy this weekend. I’m propped up with pillows in bed.

My CORKCICLE water bottle has been a life saver. I HATE warm water. Believe it or not this bottle still has ice cubes in it from yesterday. It has saved me from having to make trips downstairs.

Nothing quite like a lazy Sunday. 😊

Oh the texture! I have Farmhouse Wash Cloths on repeat today! Fingers crossed I can have a nice little stack available for the night market at Monte Creek Winery!

Holy moly! It’s hot out and going to be hot for the foreseeable future!

I was asked to make some water “balloons”, so I thought I might as well make a few extra packs! This pattern is by Left in Knots.

These are a great way to keep the kiddos cool, without the mess of a regular water balloon. Soak them in a bucket and away you go!

So, I did a “thing” and decided that I would do a couple of markets this summer.

The first one is only a couple of weeks away, so I better get to work!

Come and join me on Friday, July 19th at Monte Creek Winery! It will be a great opportunity to support a local winery and some local artists/businesses!

This year I picked up a new hobby - gardening. Honestly, I know nothing about gardening, but I am willing to learn!

Today I forgot a bowl to collect my raspberries, but what’s more Canadian than using a cup from Tim Hortons to collect them because of course I stopped for an Ice Cap on my way to the garden.

It’s been awhile since I made slippers, but these Oma Slippers by Mamachee Crochet Patterns is my go to pattern. They are a hit with my Mom and Mother In-law! 😜

Pretty low key around here. We watched One Love, went for a walk and did some grocery shopping!

It was a beautiful weekend! Back to work tomorrow, but we have some exciting plans for the long weekend. I’m sure it will be here before I know it!

Even though I was up WAY past my bedtime last night checking out the Northern Lights I still woke up at 5:30 am this morning! My internal alarm clock ⏰ is just way too good. 😌

Happy Sunday! I just got home from a quick trip to the Coast. I am now binge watching Selling The OC on Netflix. Definitely a Netflix and chill kind of Sunday afternoon.

Happy Sunday!

I’ve been lucky to get into a local community garden this year. I’ve had some success with planter gardening, but it will be so nice to try a “real” garden. Yesterday my daughter and I spent a few hours pulling weeds and cleaning out our plot. Now to make a solid plan for this almost blank slate. We kept a few squatters. 😜 There are already some onions, chives, strawberries and lettuce growing, so we decided to keep them. I know VERY LITTLE about gardening, but I’m always up to learning new things…I mean it’s how I originally started crocheting.

Today we went for a 6 KM walk at a local park. It’s so nice to have some beautiful weather. I am so thankful to live where I live.

I have been busy getting ready for this market by The Mom Market Okanagan. Fingers crossed for beautiful weather because it’s outside.

We are pretty low key and boring around here. I’ll probably do some baking and a few errands. Otherwise we are watching movies and enjoying our time together. First up is Grand Turismo.

I decided to try a new pattern by Mama Made Minis. Pearl Pegasus is so fun to make. I absolutely love their patterns! They are so cute! The colour combinations are endless. I’m really trying to use the yarn I have in my stash.

Hi everyone!

I’ve been absent for a couple of weeks because we were on a family vacation in Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco. 13 of us were celebrating my parents 50th anniversary!

We just got home and it’s hard to believe that Christmas is just around the corner. From beaches & palm trees 🌴 to snow covered mountains 🏔️ in less than 24 hours. What an amazing world we live in!
