The prevalence of road traffic accidents is on the rise, thus contributing to morbidity and mortality. In the year 2000, road traffic injuries were the 11th leading cause of death globally, currently, it is the *9th leading cause of death.*
It was estimated that about 15 persons die in Nigeria on a daily basis due to road traffic accidents, or four persons every six hours, or 426 per month.
Do we still wonder why Pre-hospital Emergency Training is important?

The latest article on pre hospital care published by the journal of clinical practices shows that interventions were provided during the transport of road traffic accident on 0% of the cases!
The Pre-hospital Emergency care Training "PET" project aims to improve this situation by raising awareness and equipping the public on the knowledge and practice of pre-hospital emergency care.
