BREAKING: Rivian pauses plan to build $5B Georgia factory 07/03/2024

Although the electric vehicle market is struggling, Rivian’s announcement is highly disappointing for the State of Georgia and my district. State and local leaders have incurred significant costs and invested precious resources into this partnership.

In my community, there’s a 1,800-acre megasite sitting idle, failing to produce promised jobs and promised revenue. Georgia taxpayers deserve answers, starting with a clear timeline on Rivian’s strategy to recover from this setback and stronger transparency moving forward.

BREAKING: Rivian pauses plan to build $5B Georgia factory Electric vehicle startup Rivian has halted its plans to build a $5 billion electric vehicle factory an hour east of Atlanta as a cost-cutting measure, a huge setback for Georgia’s second-largest economic development project.

Ballot issues in Newton County spur adjustments by elections officials, spokesman says 19/10/2023

I encourage every voter to check their sample ballot at the Georgia Secretary of State’s My Voter Page website before going to the polls.
Please review your assigned district and the races in which you are eligible to vote. Over the past few days, several voters in Newton County have reported getting the wrong ballots and certain races being left off ballots. If you believe that you have gotten the wrong ballot to vote absentee by mail or in-person, please notify an election worker or contact the Newton County Board of Elections at 770-784-2055. As voters, we all deserve fair, transparent, and accurate elections.

Ballot issues in Newton County spur adjustments by elections officials, spokesman says According to the county, just one person voted in the polling location with an improper ballot.
