Sorry, I haven’t posted lately! Another snowy, icy day! I made 1/2 recipe of Gluten Free Onion Rings! Yum! Photo of mine in the comments….so good!

Ohhhh, yes! From Chrisolyn’s Gluten Free Bakery in Waverly, Mo. An 8x8 frozen lasagna that is so wonderful! It comes in a foil pan, but I just popped it out and put in my glass baking dish because it was so full and I was afraid it would boil over; just right! She doesn’t skimp on the meat sauce or cheese. Check out theGF cinnamon rolls, lemon bars, cheesy chicken and rice casserole, brioche bread, brioche rolls, and brioche hamburger buns, too. I’m not a fan of the regular bread, buns, rolls, or soft pretzels - too dry and crumbly for me - look for the brioche bread products.! Worth the drive and they serve a great GF lunch on Fridays. Compare to Kind bars! From Aldi.

I found these in the frozen section at WalMart. For some reason, they were not with the other GF foods, so you might have to search for them. If you are standing in front of the frozen GF section at WalMart in Moberly, just turn around and look behind you. The egg rolls are really good too!

I cannot say enough good things about this pasta! A nice wide noodle that has no cauliflower taste at all. Follow the directions and don’t add salt to the water. Great for chicken Alfredo or topped with marinara. I like mine topped with butter and Parmesan cheese. This is a fresh frozen pasta I found in the freezer section at WalMart and it cooks in 3 minutes. I made pasta primavera- so good !

Schar products are some of the best GF products! I also love their ciabatta rolls, baguettes, and flour. So good!

These chicken strips are wonderful. I cook in the air fryer for about 10 min or until internal temp is 165. I got these at WalMart.

Aldi GF pasta. Be sure to follow the directions and don’t overcook. If making soup, I usually keep them separate and add to each bowl. The pasta will get mushy if you add it to the pot and then store it in the fridge. They have rigatoni and spaghetti, too. This spiral pasta makes a good tuna casserole- go ahead and combine before baking as usual.

Gluten free friends... recall on Canyon Bakehouse!

We are sorry to report that we are voluntarily recalling two of our products in 14 states due to the potential presence of gluten. A limited number of our Mountain White Bread and Everything Bagels are being recalled in Arkansas, Colorado, Kansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New Mexico, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Texas, Utah, and Wyoming. These products are only affected if they contain both the UPC code and lot number listed in the photo. The lot code can be found on the bag closure tag. Recalled products should be thrown away or you can return them to the store where you purchased them for a full refund.

As a dedicated gluten-free bakery, we follow the strict guidelines of the Gluten-Free Certification Organization (GFCO). One of these guidelines involves frequent and thorough testing of finished baked goods for the presence of gluten. Recently, internal testing of some finished baked goods revealed the possible presence of gluten outside of GFCO standards. Unfortunately, a small quantity of this product was inadvertently shipped to the marketplace.

Providing safe and delicious foods to those with food sensitivities is foundational for our company. We extend our deepest apologies for letting you down. We will be conducting a full-scale audit of our shipping and inventory management practices to ensure this does not happen again.

GF peeps.... these crackers are amazing in so many ways! Last night, for the first time in 12 years, I had a breaded tenderloin that tasted like a classic tenderloin. Just crush these crackers and use them like the saltines in your favorite tenderloin recipe ( I did the egg wash & cracker crumbs). Fry them up and get ready to be transported to “the good ol’ gluten days”. LOL

I’m trying every frozen GF pizza I can find. I wasn’t expecting to like this one, because I’d made homemade pizza with a cauliflower crust and it tasted like....cauliflower! But, this one was really good and DIDN’T taste like....you guessed it, cauliflower! I always liked Pizza Hut’s thin and crispy crust, and to my surprise this really reminded me of that. Give it a try! This one came from either WalMart or HyVee...can’t remember. 🤦‍♀️

Had this GF, non dairy pizza tonight. It was a cheese pizza and I added sausage, pepperoni, onion, and red bell pepper ( and a little real cheese cause I’m not dairy free). It was pretty good with a crispy crust.

I made this with gluten free flour tonight. Oh, how I’ve missed you LJS! It was very good, even Ken thought it was spot on!

I made a couple of adjustments:
Only made half the batter ( still had lots left, which I made into “crunchies”) - per some comments
Used 6 oz of club soda instead of the 8 oz - per some comments
Fried it in healthy avocado oil
