Kidapawan City is going to be the first in the Philippines to have a program designed to generate more centenarians (100 years old and above) in the next few years. They call it Blue zones in other countries but we call it Kzones in Mindanao. If all goes well, this will encourage more cities and provinces to adopt the Kzone program that will holistically improve everyone’s way of living.

With the collaboration of Arise Mindanao, the LGU of Kidapawan headed by Psalmer Bernalte of the City Disaster and Risk Reduction Management Office on behalf of Mayor Atty. Pao, Sir Ryan Perez of the New World Institute, Maam Gab rielle of the KIDAPAWAN CITY OVERSEAS FILIPINO WORKERS FEDERATION INC. (KCOFWFI), and VP Sara Duterte Peace Adviser Irene Santiago, we have established adlai to be the next staple food for these Kzones and everyone is going to take part in the propagation of adlai in the next few years.

Currently, the LGU of Kidapawan were given some seeds for them to study and develop protocols to grow and propagate organic adlai to be distributed to their constituents for their own consumption and livelihood.

We have also distributed some adlai seeds to be tested and grown in the province of Quezon in Luzon.

Arise Mindanao salutes the uniformed men of the 56th Infantry (Tatag) Batallion for its commitment to the Peace Building initiative at Talaingod, Davao del Norte.
We are proud to support them along with the LGU and Peace 911 in Davao to empower the indigenous people and locals through sustainable adlai rice farming.

Displaced by decades-long conflict between the government forces and the NPA rebels, they need all the help they can get and with our holistic peace building approach, Talaingod will be on its way to prosperity.

Kudos to all the stakeholders, government entities and private individuals who have been working tirelessly to make Mindanao a better place for everyone.
