On 082224, Nellie Okpowruk was reported as a missing person by family members residing in Alaska. Nellie reportedly hasn’t been seen since June of 2024 when it was said by friends that she was experiencing a mental health crisis and wasn’t able to care for herself.

Around that time, Nellie left the small apartment she was staying in off of Centennial Blvd. in Springfield, stating at that time to friends that she was going to go live outside and “be homeless”. Nellie was described as having lost a significant amount of weight, currently weighing about 130 lbs. with black hair cut into a bob, wearing metal frame glasses, wearing a dark blue or black sweatshirt, black leggings and a blanket around her waist.

Nellie had been seen by friends in the area of W. Centennial Blvd. and MLK Jr. Blvd. pushing a shopping cart.
