Non Profit Vendor Spotlight:
We welcome a dynamic volunteer group: "La Mesa Conversations".
All kinds of incredible topics and projects and community outreach, come together with this group, and the great local connector and organizer: Dr. Janet Castaños.
They have a group page on Facebook and I urge you to follow along, find the exhibit tent tomorrow and check out the many plans. Can you imagine a community of volunteers improving and beautifying where we live with projects big and small - speaking up for you? Imagine many groups across the county just like this, as your advocate?
A "Secret Creek Walk" is proposed now. Consults and help to other community groups as needed. Presentations to the City. Arranging volunteers and community service for High School Students. Murals to beautify our walks.
Follow this great group if you can. Volunteer projects posted and even the smallest gift of your time, can help so much.

Local Community Group Spotlight: "Envision La Mesa". Another exhibit from me, yours truly, Ursula Koenig. I co-founded this group to organize the voice from West La Mesa. The term has stuck and whenever we hear it, I think of our organized voice, and our mission statement. We are formed to improve where we live, one step at a time. And we have. Many "wins" in our volunteerism column, ranging from Microgrants to small businesses on the West Side, clean ups, Environmental Scan Studies customized by us to provide data to the City of La Mesa, Hidden Gems Program, and so much more.
You can find out more about us in our "Community Tent" we are sharing with other groups, teachers, churches and more, sharing tables and information on volunteerism, projects and very cool classes, people to follow and meet, as well as goals we have all proposed - to improve where we live!
Be sure to visit the Community Booth and check out
Envision La Mesa, and much more!
