WikkiData: Northern States Budgeted Over N200 Billion for Govt Houses in 2023 03/12/2023

Data from the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) indicated that N221.8 billion was allocated to expenses in Government Houses across the 19 Northern states in the 2023 fiscal year.

StatiSense, a data hub, revealed that Kogi, Zamfara, Adamawa, Taraba and Borno States topped the list of the Northern states that allocated more to their respective government houses in 2023.

The Executive Chairman of the Kaduna State Internal Revenue Service (KADIRS), Jerry Adams, says they have eliminated all tax leakages and corrupt practices, where the state emerges fifth in IGR collection in Nigeria.

Residents of Bununu, Tafawa Balewa local government area of Bauchi State have turned out en masse for the free HIV/AIDS test outreach offered by the Bauchi State Agency for Control of HIV/AIDS Tuberculosis Leprosy and Malaria (BACATMA).

In 2022, the Bauchi Health Ministry confirmed detecting about 2000 new HIV/AIDS infections. The figure represented the highest number of new infection cases ever recorded in the state. About 30,000 were estimated to be living with HIV/AIDS in the state and out of 30,000 recorded cases, the ministry identified 29,160 persons infected with HIV/AIDS and put on Antiretroviral therapy.
