This morning, the Village of Springville conducted an official hand recount of Mayoral ballots. The recount was performed by an impartial committee of the Erie County Board of Elections and observed by both candidates, after which the results became official. Timothy P. Michaels, 317; Allison Duwe, 311.

At this time, the Village election results for Springville Mayor are too close to call. The Erie County Board of Elections will perform an official, impartial, hand recount of all ballots tomorrow -- a procedure required by law. Once the recount is complete, the Mayoral race will be announced.
