Dr. Hami Eghdamian
Marbella's premier cosmetic dentist, and veneers specialist, with a focus on natural aesthetics.
A beautiful smile makeover with 20 hand-made feldspathic veneers. The patient had suffered massive amounts of enamel loss, causing the teeth to be very yellow, worn down, small in appearance, and quite sensitive. We reversed the previous damage done to her teeth by designing the new smile in a way that the veneer preparations were very conservative, so as to not provoke too much initial post-op sensitivity.
The patient had a large scar on her right upper lip which caused that side of her lip to pull up significantly more than the left side of her upper lip. Therefore, at our recommendation, the patient had a little botox put in her right upper lip, and now the amount of tooth tissue showing on either side of the lip is more symmetrical.
Her new smile is lot brighter and whiter, and the amount of the translucency at the tips of her teeth is quite age-appropriate. The overall appearance of the smile is now one of cleaner, younger looking teeth, and the protection that the veneers bring to her teeth will prevent further enamel erosion and wear.
The final result, once the ceramics are fused into one solid piece in a high temperature oven, is a restoration that beautifully mimics nature. Notice the translucent zones at the edges of the restorations, the internal anatomy noticeable under the surface layer, the greater opacity at the cervical third of the teeth, and the slightly yellow appearance around the edges of the restoration, just as natural teeth have.
A smile makeover is a delicate process as you are changing a part of a persons identity or self-image. When done well and a patient feels comfortable with the outcome, it manifests in enhanced self-confidence.
A very natural smile makeover, which was a collaboration with Dr. Rebeca, who had to very perform some very precise gum lifts prior to the restorative phase. The patients gum situation was very delicate as she had a previous history of gum disease, and so Dr. Rebeca could not be too aggressive with the removal of excess gum. The balance she struck between gum health and aesthetics was just perfect. The patient was truly delighted with the final outcome, as were we:)
Finally, the very translucent ceramic is dispersed on the upper two thirds of the restoration, and the pink highlights represent a further halo feature added to frame the incisal border.
A smile design which fits perfectly within the smile frame of the patient created by her lips. Notice also how the colour brightens up her general facial aesthetic, while at the same not detracting her other beautiful facial features.
A very complicated full mouth makeover done in collaboration with my wife, Dr. Rebeca, who is a gum and implant specialist. The patient had an underlying bone issue where as you can see the left hand side of her upper arch is quite collapsed downwards. She was not interest in correcting this with orthodontics, therefore Dr. Rebeca performed some crown lengthening surgery to reduce the excess gum showing on her upper left, and I raised the bite on her lower molars as well. Notice the indentations that were previously present on her lower lip from her previous 100% overbite. This too has now been improved and the transformation is truly stunning.
Next, we prepare to begin adding a layer of very translucent ceramic to the upper two thirds of the restoration.
An elegant and sophisticated smile makeover that complements the patients overall facial aesthetic, rather than acting as a distraction.
A very natural full mouth reconstruction, covering all his previously exposed roots, and bringing an appearance of both cleanliness, health and improved aesthetics to his smile.
Here the bulk of cervical ceramic is evenly dispersed across the lower third of the restoration.
A beautiful smile makeover that is perfectly positioned within the smile frame created by the patients lips.
A beautiful full mouth rehabilitation where we significantly brightened the smile, as well restored a sense of femininity to the smile by making very soft, curvy veneers, which stand in stark contrast to the worn, rough edges her teeth previously had due to years of wear and tear.
There remain some minor additions we have to the make in the lower left-hand side of her mouth as we replaced some old faulty implants, which the patient will have restored on her next trip to Marbella.
Next, further detailing is done at the all-important incisal edge, as well as beginning to apply ceramic on the cervical third of the restoration that is more opaque in appearance.

A beautiful upper arch smile makeover which was quite complicated given the fact that within this view alone there is a mix of veneers, crowns, tooth-supported bridges, and implant-supported bridges. The result is extremely natural and the patient has since completed with me her lower arch as well.
The ceramic layering process continues by giving further definition to the mamelons within the restorations.
A post-treatment celebratory photo shoot for one a patient who is also now a dear friend of all in the clinic. The result is stunning, yet natural, and compliments her facial features, rather than acting as a distraction. She was delighted by the result, as were we:)
A beautiful smile makeover with 20 porcelain veneers to improve both the colour, as well as to restore a feminine anatomy to her teeth, which was lost through years of tooth grinding.
Next we start by creating the dentine substructure. This is often a little more opaque in appearance, and you can see the beginning formations of the tooth’s mamelons, or ‘mountain-ridges’ that exist inside the internal anatomy of most natural teeth.
A post-treatment celebratory photo shoot for a lovely patient. Her new smile is sophisticated and natural, and works perfectly with her facial features.
One of my favourite full mouth reconstructions from last year. There are 26 porcelain restorations following a course of Incognito orthodontics. Here I raised the vertical dimension of the bite, as well as expanding the arch form outwards which had the double benefit of making it easier for him to show teeth when smiling, as well as the fact that the case was largely additive, and I barely had to remove tooth tissue from his facial surfaces. The aesthetics is stunning, yet natural, and we purposefully incorporated in some asymmetries to his laterals and canines to increase the naturalness of the result, as per the patient's desires.
The following are the steps taken by the master ceramists I work with in creating our beautifully natural veneers. A thin eMax or feldspathic core is hand layered with feldspathic ceramic of varying tones and translucencies, mimicking the internal anatomy of a natural tooth.

This is the dental clinic my wife, Dr. Rebeca, and I built back in 2012. We have since doubled it in size, and inside there are currently seven dental operatories, a digital lab, CBCT radiography, and a professional photography studio.
