What if Char Kuey Teow was like the Gospel presentation? (Part 10)

Part 10: What does it reveal regarding glorification?

The very heart of the Gospel is to be in perfect union with Christ. And with it comes a God-ward, Christ-ward, upward & forward victorious & hopeful motivation for life right now. We cannot lose this in a Gospel presentation. This is why glorification - being set free from the presence of sin and to be in union with Christ - gives hope to every believer and unbeliever right now in every situation & relationship. God will make everything right at the end of His plan and we can look God-ward, Christ-ward, upward & forward to this blessed hope.

What is glorification according to Scripture? Find out in this episode.

What if Char Kuey Teow was like the Gospel presentation? (Part 9B)

Part 9B: What does it reveal regarding what happens at sanctification?

While we may not use the term "sanctification" in a first time Gospel presentation, our understanding to distinguish sanctification from justification is critical and essential to present the true Gospel. Also due to the confusion of NOT DISTINGUISHING justification from sanctification or TOTALLY SEPARATING the two, we must labor to understand God's heart on this matter for our own soul's sake and to be ready to give an answer that is faithful to the true Gospel.

What is sanctification according to Scripture? Find out in this episode.

Part 8: What does it reveal regarding what happens at justification?

If our Gospel presentation is fuzzy about who God is, who man is, what is sin and man's sinful condition, it will be difficult to see our need for justification. "God loves you, give Him a chance or a try" isn't Good News at all. Our presentation must be faithful to reveal God is Holy, we have sinned against Him and deserve His righteous punishment and the Good News is out of His great love He has sent the Lord Jesus to justify sinners who repent & believe in Christ alone. Only then will we see our great need for His justification.

What is justification according to Scripture? Find out in this episode.

What if Char Kuey Teow was like a Gospel presentation? (Part 4)

Part 4: What does it reveal about the veracity of God's Word?

How can we be sure what is recorded down years ago is accurate and true? Can you trust a recipe passed on through family traditions and recorded by historians? Historians practice that what is recorded close to the source is more and more reliable because there is the lessen probability of people changing the author's intent.

This puts the New Testament eye witness accounts as the most reliable historical document there is. There are over 5000 manuscripts of the original accounts written within the first generation since the Lord Jesus died and ascended into Heaven. This was also translated into multiple languages so for anyone to try and change the author's intent, they would have to forge so many documents in multiple languages.

Not only that, the Lord Jesus Himself quoted from the OT and affirmed it as the inspired Word of God. So today, we explore the importance of the veracity of God's Word. What does God's Word say about God's Word?

What if Char Kuey Teow was like a Gospel presentation? (Part 3B)

Part 3B: What does it reveal about who God is?

Continuing from the last episode Part 3A...

Favorite local dishes have a history that may sometimes lead us to the original Master Chef. This is not always so because sometimes the details are lost in history. Those who seek the truth will study the historical facts and attempt to interpret the facts as objectively as we can. This is different from looking for facts simply to support our assumptions and what we desire to see. We will likely end up missing the truth. Sometimes when there is insufficient facts, it is hard to come to a compelling conclusion but based on what is clear, we can use what is clear to attempt to understand what is unclear.

And very thankfully, the Gospel of Jesus Christ is not just a food recipe. It determines the only important dividing line of each person's eternal destiny. It reveals who God is, man's greatest problem, how God has gracious provided the only way out and how must man respond.
