Ian Shaw - Something To Live For (At PizzaExpress Live) Listen
From Ian:
‘Dublin, Thursday 18th April. In Concert at the glorious National Concert Hall, I, alongside the magnificent singers, Vanessa Haynes, Dana Masters and Tony Momrelle, join the RTE Orchestra, conducted by Guy Barker. We celebrate ‘The Man’ - musical super-human, with arrangements spanning his (ongoing!) career. One of my own career highlights was singing his seminal arrangement of ‘Fly Me To The Moon’ - conducted by Q himself, was beaming in purple crocs. I was grinning, ear-to-ear, in pink and an suit.
Pic below…with the most brilliant Tony Momrelle, backstage at BBC Radio Two at Cheltenham Jazz Festival.’
