Last week MMCA Shela WardHon. Atwaa Salim and his Shela Team had an honor to officially welcome Lamu County Governor His Excellency Abdalla Issa Timammy IIssa Abdalla Timamyto Shela Ward and Co-hosted the final match of at the Shela Brighter Stars FC football ground in Shela village .
His excellency Lamu Governor Hon. was the chief guest accompanied by his DG, County secretary, CEC Sport, CEC Tourism among other CECs , Majority Leader among other MCAs and other governments and private delegation.
The aim of this initiative is to empower our young people through monetizing their talents while keeping them united through positive cohesion and integration.

We look forward working jointly with executives and private sector to ensure Shela Ward people and Lamu County at large enjoy good service delivery and sustainable development initiatives.

The Shela Hat Contest 2023 was a success!
More than 700 attendees, 190 hats contestors participated with more women this year, more political statement through art and almost 1 million shillings invested to the local economy !
Big thank you to Herbert Menzer founder of & friends , all other investors, Lamu County Secretary Ambs. Ali Abass, CEC Tourism Trade, Investments & Culture Madam Aisha Miraj, CO Joyce Murimi, MCA Shela Ward Hon. Atwaa Salim among other officials and the entire Shela Ward Communities and Lamu County at large for the big support!
We need more festivals & investors for these impactful initiatives.

H. E the Lamu governor HinIssa Timamy accompanied by his Deputy Raphael Munywa has officiated the first ever workshop in the country, sponsored by the Council of Governors to sensitize the Executive and the County Assembly Members on Facility Improvement Funds draft Bill, which will be later subjected to the Assembly for approval.
The bill seeks to have the money collected from the NHIF NHIF KENYA and cash for the services given by hospital facilities to be maintained and managed by the health department, so that to improve the service delivery to the people of Lamu.
Lamu is among 15 counties to be facilitated by the Council of Governors to come up with the FIF Bill.
