Afterwards led beacon light bar fitted to a works van , wired via a relay and switch

Something a little bit different today , 3 camera and monitor installation on a trench making plant machine for a local company

1972 morris marina , customer wanted front fog, front spot lights wired , two seperate circuits, two front looms made up , two relays , 4 fuses . 2 switches , all cables wrapped in tessa tape trying to keep in with original wiring
Ohms law 2 x 55w = 110w . Divide by 12 equals roughly 9.67 amps so just under 10 amps per circuit, so it essential you use the correct cable size.

It’s been a lightbar/beacon day , three fitted wired , using a switch, relay , and fuses
All properly sized cable and runs

Dash cam sort of day again in bristol, customer rings up , can I fit and hard wire 4 dash cams , yep of course I can
Front and rear dash cam fitted , hard wired
Added bonus regular cups of tea

Phone call Friday evening , unhappy customer, let down on fitting these dash cameras for her daughters cars , yep no problem I’ll be round first thing in the morning, dash cameras hard wired in , both behind mirrior do driver can’t see them . A very happy customer . Just another day .

It’s been a dash cam installation kind of a day
3 dash cam supplied hard wired and fitted , Vauxhall vivaro, Ford ranger , Mercedes
With the Mercedes have to be careful where you take the battery supply from because the vehicle completely shuts down , always best to come off vehicle battery
All set up with battery guard

Todays nice little number for a local company Rob Clifford Transport
Front and rear strobes fitted, wired via a switch in cab , relay , 4 way fuse holder ,
The reason four way fuses is that each strobe is individually fused . So there will always be one strobe working

Few run of the mill jobs over the Christmas period , wiring fault on a Land Rover, marker lights on a lorry
And this complete cctv set up for a local bus company on a double decker .

Tidy job today for anew customer, Dash cam , DAB stereo , improved lighting in the rear of the van .

Todays job , Reverse camera supplied and fitted for a 70 seater coach
Ignition supply also with a reverse switch incase the monitor is off

Monday morning’s job for a local company southwest disco’s
Reverse camera and a new kenwood Dab stereo fitted, monitor is the clip on mirror type .

Nice job on a Peugeot today , fuse box had water ingress , you can see the green and pins broke off, fuse box replaced , terminal plug replaced, car starts and runs fine

Another little job
Quite a common fault on most cars
Electric mirriors not working
All cables resoldered and lengthed
Mirrors work fine

Customer had his t4 sent for spraying
Windows never worked

Anyway new plug , cable all resoldered
Windows and door lock working fine
Customer very happy

Motor home this time Customer complained of no signal coming up on screen . Further investigation found the cable poorly fitted under the chassis ,broke in two places .
Best option was to remove old system apart from rear camara which was ok
New cable run in conduit, cable tied under the chassis , new monitor fitted ,
Monitor wired ignition supply also wired that if you select reverse gear the monitor comes on automatically. Thanks Paul

Today marks the day 3 years Self employed
I still make mistakes business wise, worry too much over trivial things , it’s been hard work at times trying to please everyone, it’s hard work at times but I think I’m doing ok , would I change hell no , I’m loving it

Latest catch up on a job
Customer wanted a indicator and hazard circuit
Wired into his buggy
Also a fog light circuit but the fog light has to be wired a specific way for IVA , which required 3 relays to latch on , latch off etc
