It was 10 pm and the Sun was still waiting for the night. The birds had already gathered to share the day’s gossips. The atmosphere of the central lake in Copenhagen was magical.

‘Puchh’ (پُچھ)is one of the food delicacies of Khetran Tribe of District Barkhan, Balochistan. It is a bi-product of ‘Landi’ or Lahndi (dried meat) in colder regions of Balochistan and Afghanistan. Landi is prepared during winters with lamb, goat or cow where meat is processed with local spices. The extreme colds help in drying the meat. The landi or dried meat is consumed during winters and has ‘warm effect’ as says the folk wisdom or indigenous knowledge.
While Puchh is prepared with white meat of lamb, also known as ‘Chakki’ in some areas. In Khetrani language, Puchh means the white meat at the back of a lamb. It’s boiled, then processed with local spices (mostly salt and red peppers) and hung in the tripe (اوجھڑی) of the lamb above the stove place, as the regular smoke warmth helps in its preparation. Puchh is served with wheat bread during the Summers and said to have cold effect.
