Ladies Night out for the movies this week has been cancelled. There are several ladies fellowship opportunities in the works and announcements are forthcoming. Stay tuned..............

The next ladies event is Friday night, May 9th. We are going to see Mom's Night Out in Alabaster. Tickets will be limited as the producers are from Birmingham and it is opening night on Mothers Day weekend. I plan to pre-purchase tickets but only for the ones that let me know they are going. Tickets are $11.25. Over 60 yrs old is $8.75. You can purchase your own ticket but I would strongly advise you to pre-order it now. We plan to see the 7:00 showing. Moms' Night Out - In Theaters May 9 Opening in theaters this Mother's Day Weekend, Moms' Night Out brings YOUR life to the big screen! (And yes, it's a comedy!).

Ladies Night Out at Taziki's this Thursday night. Meet at 6 at CBC or meet us there. Caroline Jones has been a featured speaker from Alaska to the Strait of Magellan. Caroline combines personal experiences, story-telling, humor and Biblical principles. Her ability to paint word pictures and bring her audience into the experiences she shares makes her an appealing addition to any program. She has her listeners laughing one minute and reaching for a tissue the next! Caroline is a Christian with a passion for crossing all barriers to share the love of Jesus Christ and to help others discover the deep joy of becoming more like Him in their daily lives.

So, what is meant by the term, "the True Woman"?

The true woman is the real thing. She is a genuine, authentic Masterpiece. The Master has set eternity in her heart and is conforming her to His own image. There is consistency in her outward behavior because it is dictated by the reality of her inner life. That reality is her redemption.

I am currently reading the book, "The True Woman" by Susan Hunt. I plan to share quotes along the way on here. Maybe they will be encouragement for you too. Maybe you will want to pick up a copy of the book and read along with me. Either way, I would love some discussion with you. Let's learn together - even in just small "snippets". Sometimes, I am sure we will have "Amen Sister" moments... and sometimes, we will have "Oh Me Sister". Let's talk together. Just a reminder...

SNACKS AND STROKES - May 18th. Time: 9:00 (snacks) - 9:30 - 11:30 (painting) Cost: $10.00 Sign up deadline is THIS SUNDAY, May 5th. Sheila will be ordering our the materials on Monday morning. We will have Lemonade, Tea and water. (and all of your supplies) You bring a snack.

Also, this Sunday the deadline for the deposit for our BEACH RETREAT. The deposit is $50.00. This is always such a good time together - Bible study, beach time, good food and wonderful fellowship. You will not want to miss it - I promise! Dates: July 24th - 27th. Approximate cost is $250.00 (We cannot know the exact cost until we make reservations. And we cannot make reservations until we know how many are going.) Some have already said that they are planning on having yard sales - to raise their money. :) Sounds like a plan to me...

Don't forget we are gathering at Cracker Barrel tomorrow morning at 9 am for food, fun and fellowship. Will you join us?

Ladies, we have had to reschedule the Spring into Fashion Luncheon. HOWEVER, we are going to Cracker Barrell this Saturday morning to have breakfast together. Meet at 9:00. Hope to see you there!
