I have some exciting news! As you guys know Tiny Steps was my Gold Award Project for Girl Scouts. Well, I am excited to share that Girl Scouts has approved the project and I have received the Gold Award! Do not worry I will still be posting updates on the page at least until the house has been built. I wanted to take the time to thank every single person who has followed my project, supported it, and encouraged me to continue. It might have been my idea but you are the ones that truly made this idea a reality. I have no doubt that it was a community effort and will continue to be once we can start building.

After spending the morning labeling cans, I moved on to my Gold Award Project. Today I have gotten Versant secured for the power pole for the house and have an electrician confirmed for the house. Still trying to confirm the plumber (everything is so crazy). House design has been redesigned to keep the costs down. Estimates have been redone for the materials, waiting on cabinet prices. got price for the slab... it looks like it is going to come in about 20% more than what was projected in the beginning.

Did you know that Kasey, Miss Moxie is working on her Girl Scout Gold Award?
Her project is Tiny Steps building new lives where she has raised over $31,000.00 (we may have this number too low) and is the Project Manager. She has been working with Downeast Community Partners (they will take over the project when it is completed). She will be building on their property the transitional home. All aspects of building a house that can be used as interim housing for homeless female veterans in need to help them get back on their feet.
It truly is an amazing project!

Introducing Miss Moxie 2022
Hello my name is Kasey Jordan I am from Lamoine, Maine and I am the new Miss Moxie.
I will be attending The University of Maine at Fort Kent this fall majoring in behavioral science. I am also a Girl Scout working on my Gold Award, my project's name is Tiny Steps Building New Lives. For my project I am building a 24 by 24 foot home for a homeless female veteran which will be located in Hancock. I have also been part of many theater productions over the years through my local theater companies. I have met many inspiring people and hope that I can inspire others to try new things and become a better person. I have never had Moxie before so I feel obligated to try it now that I am Miss Moxie.

What a wonderful HOT day (pageant) day was!!! With a thunder shower thrown in the middle of the gown competition. BUT the contestants were ALL rockstars and audience understanding we moved inside to finish gown and awards!!!
