Let me try this again. 😮‍💨 I watched my live yesterday and the lighting is NOT it. And the camera angles aren’t what I wanted either! So, I’m going to keep all the stars, freebies and the selfie promo but reshoot this live in a better light. You guys just *have* to see the mottling on the moss agate better 😍 and those rutilated smokey quartz have such strong gold rutile and beautiful smoke inclusions, I think I just need to get a flashlight or something to make it show up. Motherhood is a powerful teacher, asking you to examine yourself and your ideals, what you want for your children. 💛

No one taught me.
No one told me.
No one showed me.
My Spirit yearned
My spirit called
My DNA spoke to me,
I listened,
I Reclaimed.
I didn’t grow up with any teachings. I didn’t grow up with native culture. But, deep down inside, running through the blood in my veins, is the knowledge of how to birth, how to feed, how to love, and how to care for my children. I’ve worn all three of my babies in wraps and rebozos since the day they were born. Nobody showed me. Nobody I grew up around practiced this. My ancestral knowledge told me this was the way, and I reclaimed it. I taught myself. Then I showed everyone around me who wanted to do the same. I’ve breastfed all three of my babies. Nobody taught me, nobody showed me. I was surrounded by the pressure of bottle and formula feeding. Where I grew up it was normal to, and expected to, formula feed, but it wasn’t normal to take my chichi out to feed my baby? My ancestral knowledge told me this was the way. I taught myself and didn’t give up. Then, I showed, helped, and supported anyone who wanted to do the same. I pride myself in helping many along the way to reconnecting with our bodies, and our ancestral ways. Especially, when I never had that guidance myself. I would accept nothing less. Motherhood has been the greatest journey of decolonization for me, as I have sought to give my children an entry into this life in the way we were created for. Because, I believe, this is the way they will be truly connected with their spirit and heart, and to our ancestors. They first have to connect to the Mother, they first need to feel safe and loved to connect with their spirit. This is the way I believe they will have connection to every living creation on the earth, and in the land. The power to change the world is given to us given by the creator, it’s all here for us. 🤎 RECLAIM .
