It's . If you weren't aware, that means that bandcamp waives its revenue share for the day, meaning that artists get pretty much all of the money you spend on bandcamp today (well, not taxes...).
I don't have anything new this month, but if you've been holding off buying some music from your favorite artists, today is the day to do it!
(I've also got a bunch of free music up too, if you just want to download - https://simonhutchinson.bandcamp.com/)

Happy to announce that I’ll be performing my 2018 game piece, “Baion”, and the TENOR Conference in Boston this May (https://fb.me/e/2FcRd2MFU).
I’m dusting off my controller, called “The Catalyst” (pictured here. Yes, the radio), and making sure the connection still works between my game and Kyma.
This piece was premiered at the 2018 Kyma International Sound Symposium in at UC Santa Cruz, and I haven’t had a chance to perform it since. I’m discovering, though, that I have copious notes about the “lore” of the piece included in the folder with all the files.
For a taste, here are the program notes:
Baion draws its inspiration from several distinct sources including northern Japanese shamanism, noise music, isochronic tones, and one-button games.
Baion is performed on “The Catalyst” a custom interface that facilitates both performer and audience transition into an altered state. Kyma and Unity communicate via bidirectional OSC, enabling interactive, adaptive audio and visuals.
(Also in the expansive “lore” document, it makes reference to crafting your own catalyst being akin to Jedi making a lightsaber…. 2018 Simon was a real character.)
