Whatever thoughts are making it feel difficult to breathe, let them come and go without judgement. Let go of the impulsion to judge yourself for feeling how you feel. Let go of desire to know how the unknown will play out. Let go of anything holding you back from being present, in this exact moment, from simply existing in the now. Just as your eyes pass by one word at a time in a book, let your life write its
story one breath at a time, one experience at a time, one second at a time.

The truth is-
“We should never forget that everything we have and all the people we love will disappear at some point. This is something we should keep in mind, but without giving in to pessimism. Being aware of the impermanence of things does not have to make us sad; it should help us love the present moment and those who surround us.”

Firstly, very bold of y’all to assume.
Secondly, I wish that was me (;´༎ຶٹ༎ຶ`)

Allow me to self critique this painting for you...
So, if y’all might recall I mentioned this painting’s work-in-progress in my instagram stories about 2-3 weeks ago. In those stories I also mentioned that I was working with a new medium called Gouache by and . Therefore, I wasn’t expecting any magical results to begin with because this was my very first attempt.
Now let’s talk about what’s wrong with this and why is this an eyesore...
• The line drawing to begin with lacks precision. In other words, my patience level is a size of an atom so I didn’t leave any room for analysing the proportions and dipped right into trying this mysterious new medium.
• There’s no application of color theory what so ever. Warm tones, cool tones, what are those!?
• Light source... where is the god damn light source Apeksha?
• Patchy application of colours: Patches in the sky and skin can be seen from miles away. I take full responsibility for that because I didn’t work with proper amount of colours. *yeah, no s**t*
• Lastly, I forgot to add highlights in hair region, which I’m realising now as I’m writing this caption. *recives slow clapping*
But at the end of the day this is a self portrait ((cry me a river for all I care)), thus, I’m entitled to mess this up to my heart’s content. With that being said I’d like to rest my case.

Hey guys! I hope everyone is having an amazing day. I’m so excited to be back here on this page. And yes, I haven’t posted anything in a while because this painting literally depicts how my July went. I couldn’t process like a normal being so I took a lil break. However, I promise you’ll see more of what you subscribed for on this page.

Now if we talk about this painting, it has become a really important artwork for me ‘cause I’ve poured my heart out into this piece. I’m once again reminded that creating art isn’t just a hobby for me, it’s more than that. It’s the way in which I communicate my emotions that I cannot describe in words. This is how I keep myself sane. I feel like these brushes and hues speak to me on so many levels and they understand me like no other. It’s like we have this profound connection where everything makes sense once we start to collaborate.
I’m so grateful for every moment in which I could created something new and that finally I can do what I love because as some of you may recall my family wasn’t quite supportive of me being an Artist. With that being said I’d like to rest my case for now and hopefully I’ll see you in the comment section telling me what story does this painting say to you...

Every year, during the month of June, the LGBT+ community celebrates in a number of different ways. Across the globe, various events are held during this special month as a way of recognising the influence LGBT+ people have had around the world. And this painting right here is my small contribution to show my love and support to the LGBT+ community.
More power to you!

This painting took a while to complete and I think it turned out pretty good at the end. Although I’ll keep practising.
I’m really looking forward to paint through this entire sketchbook. Who knows one day maybe I’ll end up recording a “sketchbook tour” video🤞🏻

To me this painting represents “the power of one’s beliefs and ideals”, and how humans are just lines drawn around their thoughts.
When I started working on this painting, I didn’t know where I was heading. I had no plans, no structure and no ideas, just some thoughts running loose. Our mind does play tricks on us. Doesn’t it? It tricks us into believing that certain things aren’t meant for us. There’s this constant tug of war between what we can and cannot do.
Well, this art process taught me how to put a leash around such beliefs, and more importantly, to have fun and have faith in the adventures coming ahead. ‘Staying positive doesn’t necessarily mean to be happy all the time. It means that even on hard days you know that better ones are coming.’ Arcane, because minds are mysterious which make each individual unique and beyond ordinary understanding.
In case you read this far, I’d love to know what this painting represents to you...
PS- This is my first mixed media abstract-portrait painting.

Starry Night on Casio Calculator

Photos from Ditthi Visuddhi- Apeksha Raje's post 13/05/2020

Vincent Van Gogh: Starry Night is one of the most recognised pieces of art in the world. It is absolutely everywhere. It can be seen on coffee mugs, t-shirts, magnets and what not. It is a magnificent piece of art that resonates with so many people. So a few days back I decided to make a part of Starry Night on my casio calculator.

Back with the miniature paintings!✌🏻
Aside from this I’m working on a oil painting that’s consuming most of my time. Well, obviously because Oil Colours take eons to dry.
Anyways, this little piece is painted with Acrylics.
