In der letzten Ausgabe des KULTURfoyer, der Sendung der Radio Helsinki KULTURredaktion, haben wir uns auf eine Reise ins Graz der 1950er-1970er Jahre gemacht, begleitet wurden wir von Studierenden aus dem Iran und dem Graz Museum.
In der Sendung haben wir uns mit der Künstlergruppe IRWIN follow IRWIN und dem Künstler Marko Markovic Fragen zu Körper und Territorium in der aktuellen Ausstellung im Kunsthaus Graz gestellt. Außerdem haben wir über unseren Besuch im Theater am Lend berichtet, wo das FRANZ Pop Collective kürzlich ihre Pop Performance "WUMAN ON A SOFA" präsentiert hat.

These six songs are part of the performance project WUMAN ON A SOFA about self-chosen isolation and being alone. Our live shows will be a mix of performance, choreography, video-art and pop-concert and we will be showing our production on March 29, 30, 31 and April 1st at Studio (We had to reschedule our dates because of illness, tickets for the new dates are on sale now!)

In times of doomscrolling and crises like the climate catastrophe, looking at the future has become less optimistic. Still, that optimism is needed to fight for a future worth living. DON‘T WORRY oscillates between escapism and confrontation.

DON‘T WORRY is the third single of our upcoming EP WUMAN ON A SOFA (March 17) and part of our pop-performance of the same name (premiering on March 22nd )

Eröffnet wird das Festival von Annamaria Ajmone, die das Publikum zur Sinnesschärfung in einen finsteren Wald führt, um gemeinsam dieses nächtliche Ökosystem zu erforschen.

Mit dem diesjährigen imagetanz Programm dringen wir ein in reale, metaphorische und gesellschaftliche Räume, die zwar definiert sind durch Markierungen und Grenzziehungen, in denen jedoch stets das Potenzial einer Überschreitung schlummert. Trotz ihrer Grenzen existieren Räume nie autonom, sondern kommunizieren miteinander, überschneiden sich in Zwischenräumen, stehen also stets in Verbindung zueinander und bedingen sich gegenseitig.

The festival will be opened by Annamaria Ajmone, who will take the audience into a dark forest to sharpen their senses and explore this nocturnal ecosystem together. Also, for the opening of this year's imagetanz festival, Kiki House of Dive invites you for the first time to a Kiki Ball at brut.

With this year's imagetanz programme we visit real, metaphorical, and social spaces that are defined by markings and demarcations, but in which the potential for transgression is always dormant. Despite their boarders, spaces never exist autonomously, but communicate with each other, overlap in interstices, and thus are always in connection with each other and mutually conditional.

This year's imagetanz subjects by Charlie Engman tease out visual possibilities, opening up new spaces between reality and fiction. The photographer's playful images deal with transformations and the sculptural potential of actions. The images were created by Engman using AI.

A common motive in literature and film is the single woman* living by herself who has to celebrate her birthday in loneliness. „Make kin, not babies“ - following this principle by Donna Haraway our protagonist finds complicity in form of a baby seal.

BIRTHDAY is a central part of our upcoming EP „WUMAN ON A SOFA“, which will be released in March. 4 new songs coming soon your way! All these tracks will be featured in our performance production - all info to be revealed very soon 👀
