Let’s talk about DETOXING:

I’m not talking about a juice cleanse. When making the choice to go natural on ANY platform, there is a journey you must be ready to embrace!

To go natural with your deodorant means you’re making a commitment to love your skin on a new level. Detoxing is a step in the process and involves a complete stop from using deodorants with chemicals in it.

I must warn you, this process can be smelly, and unfamiliar but its purpose is to remove the gunk that is clogged in your pores from years and decades of using deodorant with harsh chemicals. It typically lasts from 2-4 weeks and once you’ve detoxed you DO NOT HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT DETOXING AGAIN.

Your body will remove all the chemicals in your pores and also lose its dependency on the deodorant which makes your next natural deodorant valuable in keeping you fresh and healthy.

During your detox, you can use lemon as an odor killer. If you smell, use a lemon wedge and it neutralizes your scent. Use my deodorant during your detox to fortify you (it will work perfectly once you’ve completed your detox). After your detox, you will know that your body is being taken care of and my deodorant recipe will be gentle and fresh on your beautiful body.

I believe it’s important for ALL consumers to understand what we’re putting on our body and educate ourselves towards making the best decisions possible.

First, studies show that using antiperspirants host the creation of more resistant and pungent bacteria to dwell under your arms. Antiperspirant goals are to killing the least smelly form of bacteria, beginning a cyclic aftermath of becoming more odorous.

Second, you have probably heard buzz that ALUMINUM and PARABENS are harmful, as they have been associated to breast cancer and other toxic risks. Another ingredient to be cognizant of is TRICLOSAN. It kills all bacteria like a hand sanitizer would and is considered a pesticide by the FDA.

Third, dependency. We feel the need to keep using antiperspirants because we smell awful without them… And they reason we smell awful without them is because we now have smellier bacteria growing that otherwise wouldn’t have! See where I’m going here?

It’s important to find a product that is good to your body, and I believe I have a worth it solution. My deodorant works! I will be writing about my detox and what you can do in the future. Stick with me as I will be branching into different skincare topics overall!
