Gloomy Sunday: Demo (2022) - mini-review

Greek band Gloomy Sunday released the EP "Demo" earlier this year, and rock music is the sphere explored by this band. More specifically they are exploring a variety of music that takes it's cues from good, old punk rock, but ditch much of the aggression and rough edges of that style in favor of controlled vocals, tighter and more defined riff patterns and with the rhythm section having a more important role to play in driving the songs forward. Caught somewhere between post-punk and punk pop, with the gloomier aspects of the former and the driving energy of the latter, this is a production that should have a general appeal among those who like punk inspired music with a more radio friendly and overall accessible nature to it.

Our favorite venue for DIY shows Фабрика Автономия was broken in last night, money from the bar and a security camera were stolen. This is not the first attempt to break-in, as well as the place being vandalized by hostile groups and individuals.

The collective is currently raising money to repair the two broken doors and strengthen the security of the place, which is financially heavy in a month with increased electricity bills, rent and fewer events taking place due to the cold weather.
