I'm Knitting the 3XL size which uses 2 skeins of yarn fi*****ng weight yarn (super budget friendly). 😍

The 3XL size will give me 4" of positive ease instead of the recommend -8" to -10" negative ease. I made this decision as I was looking through the projects page and saw craftygavi's test knit.

Rainier Roses turns 2 on June 26th! 🥳

Racking my brain on how to make something special to celebrate, I came up with Rainier Roses's very first "Colorway of the Year (COTY)". It'll be a yearly series (hence the name), where I'll dye it on on any base I stock, on any weight for an entire year. Then, the following year on June 26th a new colorway will come out and the previous COTY will only available during a two week period the entire year. So on and so forth. Fun, right? 😁

COTY will be available on as a Sock Set June 26th. And if you're a newsletter subscribers you'll get early access starting June 22nd.

Rainier roses will be closing shop on Sunday, December 19th, until mid-January. There's no exact date when I'll reopen because my husband and I are relocating from Vancouver, WA, to Buckley, WA (temporarily) as we look for a house to buy. In the meantime, we'll be moving in with my in-laws, and they're letting me set up a dye studio in their garage.

If I'm being honest **at least** half of all my clothes and knitwear is grey. During the colder months I love wearing dark grey with a maroon/burgundy pop of color. It's a color (or shade) I could never get tired of. It's a color combination that I feel good in.
With all that being said, meet Gris. I dyed it up on fi*****ng weight and my new mohair base (available now on my website). I used both yarns to knit a Sparking Cider hat by Kristen Lehrer of Volenvine Yarns (pictures to come) and it feels perfect 🥰.

Sweater knitting is my favorite kind of knitting and getting to test knit this was a ton of fun. This is my first finish of the New Year and I'm in love with the final product (and glad we had a little snow storm here).
