ya know what really floats our boat?? Safe boating practices ! ⚓️🛥 Keep these easy tips in mind to be kind to nature for your next summer adventure in the water:
- Know what’s beneath the surface. Be conscious of reefs, sandbars and shelves as these are marine animals homes. Always check the bottom before anchoring.
- Always clean up your fishing line, and bring it back to shore to recycle. Also use biodegradable fishing lures and easy rust out hooks in case you can’t remove the fishing hook.
- Keep a look out for marine life like turtles, sharks, whale and manatees. Admire them from afar and give them lots of room so they don’t hurt themselves on your lines or motor.
What’s your favorite sustainable safe boating tip?? 🦈

SAVE THE REEFS!! Story time: Last summer we went to the 📍 and we went snorkeling at 🤿 We were all SO excited.. But what we found was heartbreaking. The reef was bare. Hardly any fish, rays, sharks, even colorful coral was no where to be found. It was my first time at the reef, so I thought maybe it was just bad timing. But my boyfriend and his family have been coming here for years and when we got back to the boat everyone was telling stories about how the reef used to look! Full of life, color, and marine animals. This was a reminder for me - and hopefully an impactful story for you, to always use reef safe sunscreen! Make sure your sunscreen doesn’t have chemicals like: Oxybenzone or Octinoxate. Check out our stories for more on reef safe sunscreens !! 🧴
Once our site is up we will have a whole blog post about this, and we will share our fav reef safe sunscreens!

WHY DONT MORE PEOPLE DO THIS?? 😂 Maybe it’s just a personal preference but we LOVE the scalloped bezel ! The Bezel is the setting that surrounds the center “stone”. Rather than being held by something like prongs, a bezel setting is a piece of metal (in our case sterling silver) that encapsulates the whole stone (or sea glass/shell). This method totally secures it in place!! That means no glue, or other weird stuff underneath. 😎

sunday simple stackers 🤍
The 4 types of stack rings we have (top to bottom) are: rope flat, hammered, regular, & twisted round. The perfect addition to any ring set, or a dainty piece to be worn by itself.

🤍 Clear sea glass is one of the most common colors, but that doesn’t take away from it’s beauty. These pieces are likely over 50 years old, because they are so smooth and their edges are very round. We personally love clear sea glass because it looks like sea salt 🌊🧂 All of these pieces are still available on our Etsy via the link in our bio !

Happy 🌊 Our oceans are so important to our planet, ecosystem, and everyday life. Did you know that the oceans produce 70-80% of the worlds oxygen?? Way more than trees 💧Check out our stories today for more ocean facts, and how you can help conserve this amazing resource!

Happy 🌎🌱🌴 Today is all about conserving and restoring our ecosystems!
Here are some ways to celebrate:
- Clean up your environment. This can be something as simple as cleaning up your yard or the road you live on. It could also be a bigger project, like taking some friends to the beach and picking up trash while you’re there.
- Plant a tree, some vegetables or herbs in your yard or house. Any time you can reduce food waste by growing something yourself or planting new greenery is helpful!
- Shop local !!! Buying produce, clothes, or items that are local and from small businesses cuts down on carbon emissions, and helps the environment. These things don’t have to travel by plane, train, or boat to get to you, and are greener options. Plus you’re helping to support someone’s dreams when you buy local!!
How will you celebrate today?? 🌸🐚

🐚 Cowrie shells represent protection, prosperity and destiny. It is legend that if you are drawn to the cowrie shell, you carry the strength of the ocean in you 🌊 Not to mention they’re really pretty 😍 Are you drawn to the cowrie shell??

Did you know?? Our Atlas ring got its name because of its shape, and because of what it represents. The circular shape reminds me of the globe 🌎 and an “Atlas” is a book full of maps and information. I wanted this ring to represent all the places the wearer had travelled, or dreams about traveling. Do you think product naming is important?? I’m curious to know !

Here is a little bit about our story, and the concept behind our name! 🤍
Hi!! I'm Caroline and I want to introduce you to my brand - ccurrent ocean jewelry.
ccurrent exists to design one-of-a-kind ocean jewelry using eco-friendly and sustainable materials and practices, while donating back to oceanic nonprofits to make a lasting impact on our community and environment.
The ocean has taught me so many things, but perhaps my greatest lesson is that the water has always brought things to their
home, to where they belong. I created our mantra around this, and it is why I always want these pieces to serve as a reminder, just as the current does, that "You are exactly where you need to be."
