I’ve been making ridiculous Kentucky Derby hats since 2015 and this year’s hat takes the cake! 🎂 Galavanting around all day at the with a 5lb fake cake on my head while 7 months pregnant was a challenge 💪 I spent about 35 hours creating the cake hat and our coordinating couples outfits which included hand-cut appliqué roses 🌹😮‍💨

My hat won 1st place, we also won “most creative outfit” as a couple, and my sister in law won 2nd place best hat wearing the “Lisa Frank Pom Pom hat” I also made. This is such a fun creative outlet for me every year to bring my crazy visions to life!
