Is your child hyper, energetic or dysregulated after school? These may be the reasons why…
1. Your child may be exhausted from a full day of learning And being told what to do, so it can be overwhelming for them if this continues when they go home. Try not to rush them or give them too many tasks like doing homework, revision, bathing, eating dinner, tidying their room etc. Be sure to space this out, allow them to have a break and unwind with something they want to do.
2. your child may not feel comfortable or safe enough to express how they feel to their teachers and classmates and therefore surpress their emotions throughout their day. It is vital to mentally prepare yourself and be ready for your child’s ecstatic behaviour or outburst when you pick them up from school - they feel safe enough to express themselves around you.
3. Your child may be hungry after school because the last time they ate would have been a couple of hours ago. Even then, they may not have eaten or finished their lunch as they may not have enjoyed it or liked what was on the menu. It is common for children to throw away their food and run out to play during lunch time. Be sure to bring your child a nutritious snack they’ll like when picking them up from school.
4. Not all schools provide enough physical activity throughout the day or week. It can be overwhelming for a child to sit quietly on a chair for most part of the day which in turn makes them feel restless by home tIme. Physical actIvity is beneficIal to children’s well-being.

Letter formation is one of the first things your child will learn so they are able to correctly form the different letters of the alphabet. It is a key skill for little ones to cultivate, not only because it helps to make their writing more legible but also because it helps them to increase their writing speed and efficiency.
With this double sided wooden alphabet board, children are able to trace over the letters with their fingers, pen or a stick.
