Did you know that Getty Images’ VisualGPS global research shows that less than 1% of visuals in media and advertising show members of the LGBTQ+ community?

In partnership with GLAAD, Getty Images focused their latest LGBTQ+ creative grant on Chosen Family.

About the grant: This grant aimed to elevate photographers and videographers working to capture a broad range of people and groups that are part of ‘chosen families’, including new family norms and cultural traditions as they relate to LGBTQ+ communities.

Did you know that in 2021, for the first time, the U.S. Census Bureau included questions regarding sexuality and gender identity on its Household Pulse Survey (HPS)?

Note from the survey: "Because the HPS is designed to rapidly produce experimental estimates, caution should be exercised when using these survey questions as standalone markers of the prevalence of LGBT adults in the general population. They are doing an open call for LGBTQIA+ artists who are enrolled in BFA or MFA programs at Philadelphia area art schools. One artist will receive the Art Student Award and $300!

Galaei's T.I.N.G.S (Transgender, Intersex, Non-Binary, Gender Nonconforming Services) offers group meetings that include but are not limited to: Trans Masc Bi-Weekly Group, Trans Fem Bi-Weekly Group, Non-Binary Weekly Group, Work with SPLAT (youth programming) for inclusive and exclusive programming or TINGS youth.

T.I.N.G.S will also offer programming centered around drag and performance art such as Drag Story time, youth led productions, spiritual arts and community based events throughout the year.

For pan folx, attraction is not limited by someone's gender identity!

There are many types of attraction that we may feel for someone/people--romantic, emotional, and/or physical to name a few. Someone may experience all modes of attraction, others some, and others none.
