We finished our regular season tournament schedule playing in the USSSA KY State 12u Open Tournament ending the weekend 2-2.

I want to apologize for our live feed going out at the end of the final game. I know many people were watching. We will do everything we can to make sure that doesn’t happen again.

To be very honest, the girls didn’t play great but let’s quickly review some of the positive stats for the weekend:

#7 Kynlee: Had a great weekend at the plate and has now executed her new drag bunt technique. She was .625 for the weekend with five singles, 3 RBIs, 4 runs, and led the team in stolen bases.

#19 Emilie: Drew in 3 walks for the weekend which is important. She did extremely well behind the plate with 11 PO. She had several great foul-ball catches!

#14 Emma: Finished the weekend with a .429 batting average, with 3 singles. She was extremely quick getting to first on her drag bunts!

#10 Mackenzie: Due to the heat and not having a third pitcher this weekend we had to PO each of them to keep them cool between games. She had 4 strikeouts and left 10 on base.

#8 Kendal: Finishing the weekend with a .375 she had a huge triple that scored two runs! She had 2 RBIs and 2 runs.

#49 Maddie: She had a very solid hit that scored 2 runs in game 2. She was perfect in the field with no errors and had some great assists on POs.

#15 Kinsley: Had a very solid weekend at the plate and laid down several drag bunts to move base runners. Finished the weekend with a .333 batting average as well as 3 RBIs and 2 runs.

#35 Jenna: Fought very hard on the mound. As mentioned above, we only had two pitchers, so we had to use them as PO all weekend. She had 7 strikeouts and left 10 runners on base. She threw her rise ball for the first time in game 4 and it looked beautiful!

#5 Madison: Ended the weekend batting.286 with 2 singles, 2 RBIs, and 2 runs.

#33 Brooklyn: Ended the weekend batting .250 with 2 singles, 2 RBIs, and 3 runs.

#1 Kylee: Ended the weekend batting .250 with two beautiful bunts with 2 RBIs and 2 runs.

We will be working very hard over the next two weeks to make the adjustments we need to do to be competitive at Nationals.

This past weekend was the biggest tournament we have played in thus far. We honestly didn’t bring our “A-game.” There were glimpses and moments for each kid but overall, a low performance collectively. However, in the upcoming weeks, these tournaments will only help us as we hit our goal of being competitive in Nationals.

For the first time in months, we finally had all 12 of our girls together. Let’s quickly highlight some key moments/stats:

#33 Jenna: Batted 500 for the weekend and had some nice gap balls to the outfield! She pitched 11 innings on the mound with 8 strikeouts and kept the opponents’ batting average at a low .261.

#1 Kylee: With her amazing speed we had her pinch-run and courtesy run for Jenna this weekend. She was quick on the bases and did her job effectively!

#16 Bella: Batted a 400 for the weekend including a double and a triple. She led the team in RBIs and had 3 runs!

#33 Brooklyn: Offensively she did her job with moving baserunners, she had 2 RBIs and 3 runs. Defensively she did great between Right and Center!

#7 Kynlee: Had a very nice day at the plate with 2 slapping triples! She also led the team in walks! Offensively she made several diving plays at 2nd base!

#5 Madison: Led the team in runs for the weekend plus had a strong weekend in the outfield.

#14 Emma: Led the team in stolen bases and had 3 nice drag singles!

#19 Emilie: Had one nice hit for the weekend, plus 2 RBIs, and 2 runs!

#8 Kendal: 3 hits for the weekend with 1 nice double, 2 RBIs, and 3 runs. Kendal did fantastic at first base and led the team in POs!

#15 Kinsley: Laid down a beautiful drag bunt this weekend that was at a critical moment in bracket play. She also had 2 runs as we used her speed to base run for Mack.

#10 Mack: Offensively, she had a nice double on Sunday in bracket play. On the mound, she only walked 1 batter and had 4 strikeouts.

#49 Maddie: With a hurt back she powered through. Defensively she had a few nice plays where she extended herself to stop the ball.

Sometimes you need a bad weekend to fight and prove to yourself who you are as a player. You can’t rely on talent alone you must work when everyone else isn’t.
We are currently 43-9-1 for the season and have a few tournaments left until Nationals!

Coaches Brag,

I know, I know...this is very late...But let’s talk about the amazing performance this group of young ladies had a few weeks ago in Portage, IN. In short, we brought home another championship! The girls are 42-5-1!

When we arrived on Saturday morning, it was hilarious to hear the girls talking about the white pebble fields they were going to play on versus the brown dirt they are used to. I just kept saying, welcome to Northern Indiana. 😊

Since getting bumped/reclassified to the A division, we had to scramble to find this tournament. It was our first tournament that we played against other A teams (4 in total, with a mix of some very strong B teams). I wasn’t sure how the girls would compete, but they showed all of us, that they are here to stay and play A ball!
The first A team we faced for the weekend was in the winner’s bracket championship game, we simply got smoked! This loss was needed and a good welcome to A ball! It showed us where our gaps were offensively and defensively! We had a long talk after the game about resilience, attitudes, confidence, and how to be aggressive. We were all disappointed in that game, but we wanted another shot at them. After this loss, we had to then wait and play the winner of the loser’s bracket. We, of course, won this game for our next shot at the A-ball team that kicked our butt earlier.
This game was so much fun to coach, and it was back and forth the entire game. Girls in the outfield diving for balls, girls hitting doubles at critical times. But the most important thing besides winning was to show/prove to these girls that they are an A-ball team!

Several girls had some key plays and five of our players were nominated as Tournament MVPs by the Umpires throughout the weekend including Mack, Jenna, Madison, Kinsley, and Emma. Very proud of each of them! We had girls should up in ways we haven’t seen in several months and everyone did their “jobs” offensive and defensively.

Kylee #1: Speaking of kids that completely shined that title goes to Kylee! Ended the weekend batting a .500 average including 7 singles, 3 RBIs, and 4 runs. Her bat was on fire! Huge hits when we needed them the most! Defensively she was great, one of the best weekends she has had with one HUGE, extremely memorable, diving catch!

Mack #10: This girl did fantastic on the mound pitching 15 innings for the weekend only allowing 8 runs and 3 walks with 16 strikeouts! She kept her opponents’ batting average all weekend at a low .226! In the championship game while playing 3rd Mack was able to decode the opposing team’s steal calls. Thanks to her we were able to make an amazing throw down to second on the steal at the end of the game!

Maddie #49: Finishing the weekend with a batting average of .421 tied leading the team with 8 hits and 5 RBIs along with 6 runs! Defensively, she looked great behind the plate, and we put her in the outfield in the championship game and she looked fantastic out there!

Madison #5: Once again leading the team in walks, Madison had a low batting average for the weekend but was clutch in the championship game to hit a shot to the outfield that scored/tied the game up! Great work!

Kendal #8: Batting a .400 for the weekend, she tied leading the team in RBIs and Hits alongside Maddie. She had a wonderful weekend at the plate! Defensively Kendal did outstanding at 3rd base and shortstop.

Emilie #19: Her batting average doesn’t tell the true story, but Emilie did great at the plate, moving her runners. She had 3 ROE and 1 FC. Behind the plate, she worked very hard. As mentioned under Mack’s section, Emilie was the one that made the outstanding throw behind the plate for the steal. I am always so impressed by these two young ladies!

Kinsley #15: This young lady had one heck of a weekend! Her best plate appearance all season batting a .364 for the weekend! 4 singles, 3 RBIs, and 3 runs. Along with two AMAZING SAC bunts! To see her smile and confidence made my heart fill up!! She also had a great weekend in the outfield too, catching everything that came her way!

Brooklyn #33: Finishing the weekend with 4 singles, 2 RBIs, 2 ROE at the plate plus an outstanding performance in the outfield and at 1st base, she led the team with 32 putouts! Brooklyn is one of our captains and she truly stepped up and showcased why she is a captain but pushing the team. At one point she said, “guys I want to win this game, let’s go.” It was a great leadership moment for her!

Emma #14: Finishing the weekend batting a .364 with 5 singles, 3 RBIs, and led the team with 9 scored runs! She also led the team with stolen bases! One of the biggest things we have been working with Emma on is taking advantage of her small stature. Not to reach for balls over her head at the plate. With this disciple, she was able to lead the team with 7 walks! Again, most of you might think this stat isn’t important but to me, it is about getting on base to score runs and when we get fast and aggressive kids on base, we are already at an advantage!

Jenna #35: Jenna had a great weekend on the plate and mound. The biggest plate highlight was in the championship game. We were down in the bottom of the last inning, we had two runners on the bases, Madison hits a huge double to tie the game. Followed immediately by Jenna who hits another double to WIN THE GAME! My goodness was it a clutch hit! I was so proud of her! On the mound, she only allowed 10 runs in 22 innings with 20 strikeouts, 7 of which were looking. She kept her opponents’ batting average to a low .165!

Kynlee #7: Finishing the weekend batting .353 with 6 hits, 5 singles, and 1 double! Plus 4 RBIs and 5 runs! Plus 4 huge SAC bunts! Batting in the two-spot she did her job perfectly! Defensively, she was fantastic as always being extremely aggressive by diving after the ball and making the plays even making an outstanding double-play!

This short write-up doesn’t even truly showcase the weekend these athletes had! It is a privilege to coach these girls and watch them grow week to week, implementing what we are teaching them in practice!

We play in Evansville, IN this coming weekend in the Tri-State Championship! As always, we will be having a live feed on game changer (follow us at Fusion 12u (09) Clark (KY)).

I realize I am very late on getting my coach’s brag out from our April 23-24 weekend and I apologize. I know many families look forward to these.

Our girls played 7 games coming out on top in all but one in pool play. We started off ruff on Saturday but came back strong on Sunday!

Let’s talk about our girls’ individual successes:

Kynlee #7: She was 16 – 20 at the plate ending the weekend leading the team with a .810 batting average! She also ended the weekend leading the team in runs (14) along with 7 stolen bases. She had an incredible weekend!

Kinsley #15: Doing what she does best which is being aggressive on the bases that led to her scoring 4 runs. She also had 4 stolen bases! Kinsley had her best defensive weekend of the entire season; she was exceptional in the outfield!

Madison #5: Only able to join us on Sunday due to a High School tournament on Friday and Saturday, ended Sunday with a .556 batting average with 3 RBIs and Runs. She came in on Sunday and owned the field!

Kylee #1: This young lady had an outstanding weekend on the base path with 4 runs and 3 stolen bases. At the plate, she had a beautiful SAC as well as a walk and ROE. She is finding her groove again in the field and looking forward to what is to come!

Emilie #19: This is one tough girl! Batting .500 for the weekend with 2 RBIs and runs. She was fantastic behind the plate as well. On Sunday during lines/warm-up, I hit the ball too hard and jammed her pinky. I am so glad it wasn't broken but knowing how much softball we have left to play we decided to rest her for the remainder of the tournament. She was extremely positive on the bench cheering on the team!

Mackenzie #10: This girl had a solid eye at the plate with drawing in 5 walks. She is in the top percent of girls who have good quality at bats! She scored 6 runs for the team along with 3 ROEs. On the mound, she pitched 15 innings only walking 4 batters and 13 strikeouts (5 of which were looking).

Kendal #8: Ended the weekend batting a .474 with 3 triples! She led the team with 11 RBIs and scored 3 runs! She also had one of the best defensive weekends I have seen her play this season!

Brooklyn #33: Helping the team she had 4 hits including 2 singles and 2 doubles, which led to 3 RBIs and 4 runs! Defensively she was aggressive as always!

Brooklyn #0: One of our two permanent subs, Brooklyn came out to support us since one of our pitchers and primary shortstop was out with a concussion. She always brings something to the team each weekend and this weekend wasn’t anything less! Batting .471 at the plate with 3 triples, 5 RBIs, and 8 runs! We used her behind the plate when Emilie was hurt which was a huge help to our team!

Jenna #35: This girl had a great weekend at the plate by hitting 1 out-of-the-park grand slam and another out-of-the-park home run! She also had 2 singles and 1 double. She had 9 RBIs and 2 runs! On the mound, she pitched 16 innings with 11 strikeouts (5 of which were looking). She took a really hard hit on Sunday, a line drive back to her thigh, and I was so proud of how quickly she got up and was ready to go back in the next game!

Emma #14: Finishing the weekend with a .400 batting average, she had 3 RBIs, 8 runs, and 3 stolen bases. She played a ton in the field and had her first diving catch in left field! Very proud of her!

Maddie #49: Coming off a week of having the flu, this girl brought everything she could. Ending the weekend with a .333 batting average which included 4 singles, 1 double, and 1 triple. 8 RBIs, 6 runs, and 2 stolen bases. As worn out as she was, she did very well in the field when she was in the game.

The girls are currently 35-4-1 for the year and we were told this past week that we are officially reclassified to the A division. This was a goal I originally set for the team, and I am proud of how well they have worked throughout the season! We win because of our discipline at the plate, on the mound, and fundamentals on the field!

We have had to do a little shuffling with the remainder of our tournaments, but we will be playing again on May 14 weekend in Portage, IN. Thank you for all the support you provide to our coaching staff and girls!

Coaches Brag,

It feels unreal that our girls have won 5 out of their 6 tournaments for our spring season! I couldn’t be prouder! This weekend wasn’t pretty by any means, we had defensive errors we normally don’t make, poor plate appearances, and pitchers not hitting spots – however even with being on the struggle bus this weekend, they managed to pull off a 6 – 0 record for the weekend!

Let’s talk about all the personal wins for the weekend:

#49 Maddie – This girl was on fire again! She batted .538 for the weekend! Leading the team with 7 hits – two of which were triples! She also led the team in RBIs and runs! Proud of her!

#0 Macy – This young lady subbed for us this weekend; it is always so much fun to have her! She had 1 RBI and 1 ROE. She had a huge hit to the outfield but was caught by the defense. In the field, she was 100%. We moved her from 3rd and left field, and she always made the play.

#35 Jenna – This girl played her heart out this weekend. Having one of her best hitting weekends with a .500 with 4 hits 1 being a triple! She had 4 RBIs and 2 runs! Pitching she had 3 wins on the mound, only allowing 6 hits in 3 games! She struck out 24 batters – 8 of which were looking. She kept her opponents’’ batting average to a low .133!

#10 Mackenzie – Like Jenna, Mack had a huge triple this weekend that landed her an RBI and run! On the mound, she racked up 3 wins, only allowing 6 hits in those combined three games; 10 strikeouts – 2 of which were looking! And kept her opponents’ batting average to a low .143!

#8 Kendal – This girl had a great weekend at the plate batting a .429 with 6 hits one being a triple! She had 6 RBIs and 3 runs! Defensively, she rotated between 1st, left field, and shortstop all of which she executed successfully! She had a great weekend!

#5 Madison – My walker! This girl is so disciplined at the plate that she just has an eye for balls and strikes! She had 5 walks, 1 ROE, 1 double, and 4 runs! Defensively, she continues to be very aggressive laying out for fly balls and tracing them!

#16 Bella – We were so excited to have Bella on Sunday – she did outstanding! Batting .400 for the day and had some much needed critical gappers when we needed them the most! She was incredible in the field rotating between left field and shortstop. In the championship game, she had a diving stop and flipped over, and threw the ball from a seated position. It was an awesome play!

#19 Emilie – This sweet girl had 2 singles, and 1 ROE, which drove in 4 RBIs! Defensively, she worked hard behind the plate with 9 POs and 2 assists! She continues to work hard each and every day to improve her catching skills and I couldn’t be prouder of her!

#14 Emma – This girl is dedicated to her softball team. Her family was on vacation, and they drove back early getting in at 4:30a on Sunday morning just to be at our tournament Sunday at 1p! She batted a .333 in the championship game, as we used her for her running skills in the two semifinals and she was able to drive in 3 runs! Was excited she was able to be there!

#1 Kylee – As you know if you read my coach’s brag you know I have been excited to get Kylee back on the field again post her knee injury! Wouldn’t you know it, the sweet girl came up sick through the week and was unable to be there on Saturday but came out on Sunday! Not wanting to overwork her from being sick, we used her as a pinch runner, and she looked awesome on the bases! Here is hoping for a healthy young lady to come next tournament!

#33 Brooklyn – Working hard at the plate this weekend she had 3 singles and 4 ROE which drove in 4 RBIs and 5 runs! Defensively, she did awesome as usual and had one amazing diving catch! I continue to love watching her grow and develop at the plate and in the field!

#7 Kynlee – My little power slapper did her thing this weekend with 4 hits, 2 of which were doubles, plus two ROEs! She also laid down a perfect drag bunt to move her runs! She had 4 RBIs and scored 8 runs! Defensively, she worked hard and 2 POs and 6 assists!

The girls will be back in action Saturday, April 23 in Shelbyville, Indiana at the USSSA Battle of the Bats. As a reminder, we have moved our live feeds to Game Changer.
Thanks for all the continued support!

Another tournament win for these ladies!

They work so hard and you can see improvements every tourney! They’ll be back at it again 4/23 💚

Coach Brag...
Holy Moly…Holy Moly did our girls have a heck of a weekend! I couldn’t be prouder of the players they are but also the players they are becoming!

We played in Columbus, IN in the USFA Autism Awareness tournament this past weekend where we went 1 – 2 in pool play becoming the 3rd seed only to rock-n-roll and go on a winning streak all the way to the championship! I truly couldn’t be prouder of these girls!

Let’s highlight some individual accomplishments for the weekend:

#49 Maddie: Her bat was on fire! Batting a .667 for the weekend with leading the team with 12 hits, including a triple and 2 home runs! She also led the team with 13 RBIs and 11 runs! Defensively she was great behind the plate as usual and played well at SS and CF.

#1 Kylee: This was her first weekend back from a knee injury and it was great to see her on the field. She only played a few games with us on Saturday due to going on spring break but while she was there at bat had an ROE and walked both which resulted in runs!

#16 Bella: Joining us on Sunday, Bella was .667 for the day with 2 singles, 2 RBIs, and 2 runs. We also took advantage of her speed and used her as a courtesy which results in her gaining a 3rd run! In the field, Bella looked amazing in LF with a HUGE diving catch attempt that stopped the runner from advancing/scoring!

#10 Mackenzie: This was a very special tournament for Mack, and we were extremely proud of how she plaid (see our previous post on this page). She had 2 singles for the weekend which gave her 5 RBIs and 3 runs! On the mound, she had 14 strikeouts and kept her opponents’’ batting average at a low .143 and she threw a no-hitter in one game on Saturday!!

#14 Emma: Only with us for Saturday, she finished the day with a .545 batting average with 6 singles, 2 RBIs, 5 runs, and 3 stolen bases! Her speed is extremely beneficial to our team, and we used it to our advantage!

#8 Kendal: This weekend Kendal had to dig deep and be mentally tough. If you read these brags, you see Kendal is always our top batter. This weekend was a true test to see how resilient she was going to be. As a coach I had to get her to understand she can be just as or even more effective in the field – it isn’t always about hitting and she did just that! At the plate, she had 4 hits 3 of which were triples! She had 8 RBIs and 7 runs! Defensively at first base, she had some incredible stretches at 1st base that resulted in outs were key to our successful weekend!

#5 Madison: This was her best weekend at the plate batting a .538 for the weekend with 7 hits including a triple. She had 1 RBI and 8 runs! Defensively she was outstanding in the outfield, like Bella she has a HUGE diving catch attempt in CF where she completely threw her body and laid out for it. If she would have caught it, it would have been one of those ESPN highlight kinds of catches.

#19 Emilie: Money was Money on Sunday. In the championship game, we were tied up 2-2 in the bottom of the 4th with only minutes left to play. She smoked the ball which led to a triple that ended up helping us win the game!! For the entire weekend, she was .364 at the plate, with 5 RBIs and 2 runs! Behind the plate she was fantastic. Every weekend she has growth!

#0 Brooklyn R: Subbing for us this weekend, Brooklyn played her heart out! In the championship game, this girl bombed a HR that helped us win the game! HUGE! For the weekend she batted a .467 which included 2 doubles and the HR! She had 10 RBIs and 5 runs! On the mound, she only allowed 1 hit and 1 walk and kept her opponent’s batting average to a .067! Outstanding!

#7 Kynlee: One of her best weekends at the plate so far, she batted a .412 for the weekend with 7 singles, 1 RBI, and led the team with 13 runs! She put the ball in play when we needed her the most!! She also led the team with 7 stolen bases!

#35 Jenna: Her bat has been coming around and getting hotter and hotter each week! Batting a .429 for the weekend she had 6 hits one including a double! She had 2 RBIs and 1 run. In the championship game, we had a runner at 1st base, and I had Jenna bunt. I think everyone was shocked, but GOODNESS was it beautiful! On the mound, she had 13 strikeouts 4 of which were looking! And kept her opponents’ batting averages down to a .289!

#33 Brooklyn F: Having another fantastic weekend at the plate, Brooklyn went .429 for the weekend with five singles and 1 triple! She had 6 RBIs and 5 runs! She also had 2 huge sac flies to the outfield that allowed us to score critical runs! Defensively, like Bella and Madison, she had an amazing performance in the outfield with some fantastic catches and throws!

These young ladies had an amazing weekend! We play again this coming weekend in another Autism Awareness tournament with USSSA ball.

Coaches brag…
Wow, what a weekend! These girls are coming together stronger than I imagined they would at this point in the spring season, but I couldn’t be more proud! They are so much fun to coach, and I love that their fundamentals are getting stronger every single weekend! We were 3-0-1 in pool play, rocked the semifinals, and dominated the championship game!

Now let’s talk about these amazing young ladies’ individual wins:

#8 Kendal – Once again this girl’s bat was on fire! She ended the weekend with a batting average of .714! She had 10 hits, 5 RBIs, and 9 runs! Kendal has amazing power at the plate; she had three huge hits back to opposing pitchers that made me fear for their safety (YIKES)! Defensively, she is still learning shortstop and made two huge plays – she is learning to be more aggressive with the ball every game!

#99 Claire – This sweet young lady from our Fusion Family joined us as a sub for the weekend and it was a pleasure to have her. She had 2 RBIs and 2 runs. Her most impressive attribute was her defense; she was outstanding in centerfield!

#33 Brooklyn – WOW is all I can say about Brooklyn’s bat this weekend, just what she needed! She finished with a .500 batting average for the weekend with 8 hits 5 of which were doubles! 5 RBIs and 4 runs! Defensively, she moved from right field to first base, she had some amazing stretches at 1st and was aggressive diving for foul balls in the field. She is so much fun to watch!

#10 Mackenzie – First, she is my little spy (LOL). Every time she plays in the field while another team is in the 3rd base dugout, she tries to steal their calls and plays and runs over to me and tells me. I absolutely love it and her excitement of figuring it out! Mack did her thing on the mound with 11 strikeouts 3 of which were looking and left many on base as we picked up the last out! She also had 2 singles, 3 RBIs, and 3 runs!

#49 Maddie – She couldn’t join us during the Saturday pool play games as she had a Freshman High School softball tournament, but she was ready to go on Sunday! Ended the day with .444 batting average 4 hits total with 2 being triples! She also did well behind the plate with 18 POs!

#7 Kynlee – Not feeling at the top of her game due to being ill, she truly gave it her all the entire weekend! Being a mom myself and a head coach I always feel like these are all my kids – so all weekend she heard me say, do you need a cough drop, have you had water, do you need a tissue. Keeping these kids safe and healthy is a priority! Anyway, on to her stats…She had 4 hits, 1 which was a double, 5 RBIs, and 4 runs. Defensively, she got dirty and was very aggressive, she is getting more and more confident diving and stopping runners from advancing!

#35 Jenna – To say this girl pitched her heart out would be an understatement! Jenna threw two no-hitters for the weekend! She dug deep when we needed her to and simply showcased her skill/gift! She pitched 15 of our 22 innings, with 29 strikeouts 5 of which were looking. She kept the opponents’ batting average to a .113! Simply outstanding! Offensively, she was just as strong batting a .400 for the weekend with 3 RBIs and 2 runs!

#5 Madison – She has really been working on her hitting to get back to where she was pre-ACL tear, and this weekend finally showcased her skills are still there! She had 3 hits for the weekend 2 of which were doubles! She had 5 RBIs and 4 runs. I say this a lot, but quality at-bats are extremely important, and this kid led the team in walks which some might not find important but when you have bases loaded and need a run and can be disciplined to take a walk…that’s key!

#14 Emma – Emma was another kiddo that couldn’t make Saturday pool play due to Freshman High School softball however she came in ready to go for Sunday! We are so grateful to have a kid like her on our team, especially with her quickness! We used her as a DP on Sunday where she had 3 singles, 2 runs, and 3 stolen bases. She moved her baserunners every chance she could!

#15 Kinsley – This girl had the best weekend of her Fusion Clark career. She needed this weekend to help build her confidence and I believe it did just that for her! She was .333 for the weekend with 2 hits, 1 being a double, 3 RBIs and 5 runs scored as a courtesy, plus an amazing SAC Bunt that couldn’t have been laid down better in the championship game!

#19 Emilie – As I mentioned earlier keeping these girls healthy and safe is a huge priority for me. When Emilie first joined the team, I told her I would never overwork her behind the plate; this weekend we probably came as close to that as I ever wanted to as we only had 1 catcher for Saturday. Plus, she is still pretty sore from a recovering rib issue from a few tournaments back. However, she powered through and was .333 for the weekend with 2 hits 1 being a double! She had 2 RBIs and 2 runs. Defensively, behind the plate, she had 17 POs. I was very proud of her!

#1 Kylee - Still on the injured reserve list for this past weekend, she was the best cheerleader and helper! I think she was frozen most of the weekend, but it wouldn’t be the same without her there! We are so excited that she will be back on the field starting this week!

We are in Columbus, IN this weekend for Autism Awareness at Dunn Stadium. Our first pool play game on Saturday is at 9:30a. Please note, if you watch our FB live feeds; we have moved over to GameChanger live feed. Please reach out to us if you need support in setting up the app to watch the games.

Thank you for all the support! Especially the support from our parents for making the LONG drive to and from and being willing to sit in the cold windy weather! I couldn’t ask for better parent support!!
